Yes I do realize that. But they also had a gameplay trailer of the game months before that of a build that was canned and they restarted development pretty much completely. The gaming industry in general has proven that episodic releases which were once big are quite often a disaster and there is only one series I can think of that still pulls it off (A Square Enix series, but they also had bad luck with Hitman so). I just do not see them sticking with an episodic release system. 

If Square Enix was smart about how they ran their company, they would have fired Tetsuya Nomura by now and completely restructured their shitty ass localization department. (The voice acting in FFXII, XIII Trilogy and FFXV is god awful compared to AAA North American games)

I'm certain that SE will stick to an episodic release.

I imagine that the remake will be out in full force first before MP4 whether split into parts or released altogether if plans had changed ... 

FF VIIR is pretty far into development by now since it was last 3 years ago when we've seen footage. By now SE probably has the world/level design and the mechanics down already. They'll probably make a couple of modifications near the end such as using ray tracing on the next gen console ...

Seriosuly, though, I almost want Nintendo to just let us play the broken mess that MP4 apparently was before they moved it to Retro, just to tide us over lol

There will be a point in the FFVII development cycle where they won't be able to postpone it any longer despite the fact the game will still need more time to be properly finished, so they will release it that way. Prime 4 will take whatever it needs to come out and be good,cause while nintendo can get away with it taking longer to come out,they can't get away with it coming and not being at least great. So VII remake.

They changed the core development team, scrapped the 2015 gameplay footage just last year and you think we can see it now in just over 1 year? Not to mention the article is about which come out first and you are answering that FFVIIR the full game (all 3 parts) will come out before MP4? WOW
