They changed the core development team, scrapped the 2015 gameplay footage just last year and you think we can see it now in just over 1 year? Not to mention the article is about which come out first and you are answering that FFVIIR the full game (all 3 parts) will come out before MP4? WOW

I never said the full game was coming out before MP4. It was pretty clear I was referring to part one. Yes, the gameplay was scrapped, but how long was they originally working on it before showing the original game in December 2019? This article https://www.dualshockers.com/final-fantasy-7-remake-news-2019/ makes it seem pretty clear that something is happening this year, and square is having a concert right around e3 this year just for FF7. Remeber, this is a new game vs a remake, and without fact checking, I think it is safe to say that Square is bigger than retro.

However, show a bit or even a lot this year doesn't mean it will come out soon, just like the gameplay footage they showed in 2015, all became meaningless.

What time gap between each part? Also, what you saw in 2015 is: http://www.pushsquare.com/news/2018/03/final_fantasy_vii_remake_sounds_like_its_still_a_very_long_way_of

I don't think there will be a time gap, it'll be a full game release ...

Also that article is a year old speculation, it doesn't change the compelling evidence that FF VIIR is still ahead of MP4 (which just restarted development) in every development metric because:

1. It was announced in advance to MP4 ...

2. We've seen actual gameplay footage for FF VIIR in comparison to MP4 ...

3. We've gotten more updates of substance (this one in 2017) about FF VIIR than MP4 so far ...

If I recall, the original would have been out in 2018 if things went according to plan. Obviously I can't see the future, but people who are predicting episode one in 2025 are crazy.

While I am on the Nintendo team, I'd actually guess FF7 remake here. But hey, I'd love to be wrong.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

You need to catch up on current events. For starters, all that gameplay you're referencing to was footage based on CyberConnects development - which was shown at PSX 2015. In May 2017, Square Enix announced that they had scrapped ALL of CyberConnects development work from 2014 to 2017 (3 yrs of development in the can) and started ALL OVER again.

So in reality, SE has only been working on the game for barely 2 years now.

Trust me when I tell you this: FF7 Remake will NOT come out before 2022.

I don't believe I need to and the claim of SE scrapping ALL of CC2's work is unfounded. If you're taking unsubstantiated hearsay from "Dan Tsukasa" (if he's even an actual developer or let alone a real identity) interview at reddit then I think you've got an invalid source of information since HE DOESN'T WORK FOR SE ...

Pessimistically speaking, FF VIIR will almost certainly release by 2021 at the latest while MP4 probably won't release until 2022 at the earliest since one of Nintendo's senior managing executive officer itself actually admitted having to restart development to MP4 publicly on video ...

By all valid accounts so far, FF VIIR is undeniably much farther ahead into development than MP4 and by the sound of it nearly halfway through. Until we see real gameplay footage for MP4, there's no room to contemplate that MP4 will actually release before FF VIIR does in it's full form ...

I am trying to find the quote, but Square did say that KH3, The avengers Project, and FF7R would all be out before the end of 2020 or 2021( can't remember which one). If things go to plan, FF7R should be out first before metroid

2025? Maybe ep 1 and 2 at best

If you mean in 2021, the first episode will come out then sure, if you mean ep 1 + ep 2 + ep 3 will come out in 2021 the nope. All parts of FFVIIR contain: Before Crisis, Crisis Core, the main game, Dirge of Cerberus and Advent Children. No way the full game can come out in 2021, ep 1 at best.
