Don't say it, my company is doing great.

Our revenue was 1B USD this quarter, doesn't matter our operational cost was 3B, we are a success.

Well the movie is still in theaters isn't it? Seems a bit early to call it a huge bomb...

I agree, but usually first week is pretty telling. I just couldn't lose the joke =p sorry if inappropriate

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

I think we are talking about different movies.  We were talking about A Wrinkle in Time, not Us.

Nevermind.

Well I just checked the budget and its an estimated 20M. It seems to actually be a huge success.

Seems like just miss alignment of subject =p

Certainly if someone had made a bomb on his first or second movie he would be very low reviewed by studios. Which doesn't seem the case with Jordan, it seems more like the opposite with he bringing very good profits.

"US" had a budget of $20 million and has currently made $103 million, not what I'd call a flop by any means. I don't really see a problem, it's not like he's taking a already existing franchise and race swapping the cast, he's making something new and fresh while including a cast he feels makes the most sense to the direction of said film.

Were talking about Wrinkle in time when saying it was a flop.

It's obvious that you don't wanna try to understand the situation. The company scenario where you have all the black people as janitors is so different than what Peele is doing.
1. Lead actors in his films will have a backstory/struggles that resonate more with black people so it makes sense to only cast a black lead because they are best for the role.
2. Being an upper management staff member in a company is a role that anyone can take on regardless of race.

It would be more obvious that you don't want to see that I'm not complaining about he making movies with black leads, but that doesn't matter the situation if a director said he would only cast white people going forward media would complain a lot.

The most justifications created more it shows that it would be considered racism (and not even saying that there isn't plenty of directors in the past and present that wouldn't cast a black person out of prejudice, but if they were open about not wanting they would be heavily criticized).
