Texas GOP Calls For NEW UNION Of States After SCOTUS DENIES Lawsuit Disputing Election

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o__ZZav-T00

Do you guys see the rupublicans splitting the USA into 2-4 differnt countries? or union of states?
Is this just crazy talk? could this happend?

Now its BS.  Its not the first time such talks have come out of Texas and the GOP there is just pandering to the Pro Trump crowd but no action would ever come of it because it would be pretty much stupid.  But then again, the Reps putting their name on that Texas lawsuit when they knew it had no chance of making it to the SC shows that they are willing to play a very dangerous game with their supporters and it could backfire big time.  Basically Trump could splinter the Republican base, make turnout for votes very low and just hand the Dems control of the house and Senate with this gamble.  Its hard to act like there is fraud then also want those same people to vote if you give them the belief that the fix is in.  The 2 strategies do not really work together and it could cost them big.  Trying to keep Trump base may end up proving to be the worse mistake they have ever done.

Trump knows he lost, just his ego cannot accept it. So they (trump supporters) dont care (about loseing house/sentate). Their play is to ignore the other states, withdraw from the union of the USA, and make their own union/republic.  Trump is probably innocent in all this, all he cares about  is denial of reality (accepting a loss), and useing it to line his pockets. Apparently donations towards these lawsuits are based on a PAC (political action commity) where like 75% of donations, he can just pocket or pay as saleries to himsel + family members. Its a get rich(er) scheme (for trump). He cares nothing of the damage this does to the US, and its democracy (peoples faith in things being fair and working as supposed), or if this gets high-jacked into USA being split in 2-3 new unions (which apparently some republicans/trumpist want).

So if they cant steal the election through law suits (by removeing peoples votes, to suit their agenda), they will have those 106 that signed on to the lawsuit, try to persue a new Union of States.

This would basically devide the USA into 3 (as those that signed onto that lawsuit, are those middle states).
You would have a east coast union of states, a middle republican state union, and another western coast union of states.

Trust me, there will never be another union of states that break away from the US.  That is clear fantasy and only will be played by fringe personalities looking to get in on the money but no real effort will every come of it.  Its no different from the Money play Trump is doing with his supporters now.

You are right that most Trump supporters are so concentrated on the President that they forget about congress and the importance of having a majority in both house and senate.  The thing is, the Reps know the importance so playing into Trump ego and also playing into the fraud strategy has no merit for the party going forward after Trump leaves.  The smart play would be to get them all on board in pushing back Dems control instead of playing up Trump and thus losing both.  Trump is definitely playin this for ego and the lucrative money source in this political space.  He will continue to push his supporters to believe he will run in 2024 asking for donations and hold fund raisers while he will probably not run.

They did polls, and found that 60% of republicans honestly think trump is the only one that speaks truth in the world.
The media all lies, and it was clearly a win for trump, that the democrats cheated to win.

Even though Trump has tried like 50 lawsuits, and had multiple recounts of ballots, and cannot show any proof, of said cheating.

"He will continue to push his supporters to believe he will run in 2024 asking for donations and hold fund raisers while he will probably not run. "

^ I bet he runs in 2024, if allowed to.
And/or if republicans dont attempt to form a new union of states (in which Trump can declair himself king or some such).

Despite Trump being such a simple person he has actually surprised me a few times. Logic and common sense would dictate that he won't run 2024, but logic and common sense don't apply to him. So who the fuck knows what'll happen next.

I am positive he will make some big claim that he is going to run in 2024 because right now that money he is raking in is nothing but pure gold.  That means he will have 4 good solid years fleecing his supporters before he bails.  The big question will be how long will the con continue before he take his money and run.  I highly doubt he want to lose twice to Biden but who knows, if Biden tanks maybe he tries to go all the way.  Then if he loses again, he can cry foul and do it all over again asking for money for his lawsuits while pocketing it with his PAC.  He can run that con multiple times before he kick the bucket.

Not legally, that's for sure. But that hasn't stopped Americans when they seceded from the UK or Texas when the seceded from Mexico.

However, you are right that the top brass will never do so. However, if they continue riling up their base so much, I wouldn't consider it impossible that those will take the matter into their own hands and provoke a secession. Keep in mind the state leaders were against what became known as the Boston Tea Party...

Remember the Bundy Standoff? A bunch of right wing idiots doing idiot things to stick it to the government who they think wronged them. Now think about how many more and emboldened right wing idiots there are now. It is bound to happen again.

It might not be a secession or a civil war but it'll be a stupid conflict that will take away resources and attention from actual problems and divide the country even further. You think confederates are annoying? Imagine people who are able to identify with an ideological conflict that happened in their time.

I'm beginning to think that McConnell is actually evil. Like morally evil. Palpatine evil. Like someone who ejaculates when he sees a small animal being tortured.

Most Republicans aren't evil, but his actions don't fit into the normal ignorant sociopath stereotype.

He's not nicknamed Grim Reaper for nothing. Keep in mind he came up with that nickname himself - and that was before Covid...

I'm generally a pro-separatist kind of guy. Civilization was better in some ways before the filth of nationalism sunk its shadowy, filth-ridden hooks into the brains of the foolish and easily led. Think about it, we had Imperial free cities, trade leagues, and wealth unimaginable was springing up despite the general control of the feudal manorial system. Everything was much more fluid back then, too. Bring back the Holy Roman Empire... which was criticized by Voltaire as not being Holy, Roman, or an Empire... which, ironically, are three things I think it should have been praised for.

Anyway, I'm drifting off. Would it be so bad if Texas split off and became Vanilla Mexico, while the cities of Austin and Houston became something like Imperial Free cities? Given the US's republican nature, they wouldn't need a head of state, just a government representation.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
