Now its BS. Its not the first time such talks have come out of Texas and the GOP there is just pandering to the Pro Trump crowd but no action would ever come of it because it would be pretty much stupid. But then again, the Reps putting their name on that Texas lawsuit when they knew it had no chance of making it to the SC shows that they are willing to play a very dangerous game with their supporters and it could backfire big time. Basically Trump could splinter the Republican base, make turnout for votes very low and just hand the Dems control of the house and Senate with this gamble. Its hard to act like there is fraud then also want those same people to vote if you give them the belief that the fix is in. The 2 strategies do not really work together and it could cost them big. Trying to keep Trump base may end up proving to be the worse mistake they have ever done. |
Trump knows he lost, just his ego cannot accept it. So they (trump supporters) dont care (about loseing house/sentate). Their play is to ignore the other states, withdraw from the union of the USA, and make their own union/republic. Trump is probably innocent in all this, all he cares about is denial of reality (accepting a loss), and useing it to line his pockets. Apparently donations towards these lawsuits are based on a PAC (political action commity) where like 75% of donations, he can just pocket or pay as saleries to himsel + family members. Its a get rich(er) scheme (for trump). He cares nothing of the damage this does to the US, and its democracy (peoples faith in things being fair and working as supposed), or if this gets high-jacked into USA being split in 2-3 new unions (which apparently some republicans/trumpist want).
So if they cant steal the election through law suits (by removeing peoples votes, to suit their agenda), they will have those 106 that signed on to the lawsuit, try to persue a new Union of States.
This would basically devide the USA into 3 (as those that signed onto that lawsuit, are those middle states).
You would have a east coast union of states, a middle republican state union, and another western coast union of states.
