@John2290 I'm sure this is gonna sound really repetitive, but if you can't beat him with tools, just deflect and be patient, posture breaking is my go to everytime a new boss appears unless the tool can really bother the boss. The fight with the owl took me around 7-8mins if I'm remembering correctly.

Edit: took me 7:13 mins after watching my vid again, I just put it on private just in case.

Wow, 8 minutes. That is insane. Props dude. I did try to do the fight on his posture but having to avoid the anti heal debuff and his longer animations made it non viable for me until he was around 25 percent health or less. Again, I suck at the game as I can,st imagine beating that boss in 8 minutes  or any boss for thst matter, I always need a few death runs first to get use to their move set.

There's no shame in dying a lot, this is just how the game is suppose to be, learning through dying. If you want to know how I actually fight him, just let me know and I'll share the link to my unlisted video.

Just started Sekiro and did that first tutorial area without losing health, well yeah till that armchopping boss. :p
Im sure as hell will have a difficult time later on when mobs get more complex but its pretty relax now.

OMFG. I left on the Demon bell on without removing it for farming, I've been plqying the game since the Guardian Ape with a fucking debuff. I'm an absolute idiot.

Good work, you just played yourself lol, anyways, here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tr_vu_8oNso

Btw, I don't know what happened, but the sound is out of sync.

John2290, since you have a Geralt avatar...don´t know if you agree but I think the background music in the Ashina Outskirts area really has a Witcher 3 vibe to it, particularly when you are in the Velen region.

So I completed the memory of Hirata after defeating Lady Butterfly and just beat the blazing bull miniboss, arriving at Ashina Castle...is this still considered early in the game?...considering I want to to explore everything, is there still much to discover?

Great game, but I have a few gripes…..

The combat skill progression is stretched out far beyond what it need be, and most of the skills aren't all that great in the first place. Really could have done with some fat trimming, tuning of various abilities, and just overall reduced the grind it takes to unlock everything.

Only a small handful of unique bosses, too much copy pasting.

Some of the fights overstay their welcome, not because of difficulty, but simply due to the boss having absurd amounts of posture recovery and health.

Oh, and the dragonrot mechanic is basically pointless, as are all "sidequests" in the game. Nothing meaningful comes of any of it.

Thoroughly enjoyed it on the whole though. Hopefully we'll see some meaty DLC for it in the future.

Don't worry the difficulty picks up quick.
