Fallout 4 is the best Fallout

It's also better than the witcher 3

Dragon Age: Inquisition deserved it's goty

also, Shadow of Mordor sucks

Skyrim is by far the best game ever made

Zelda Botw is a distant second

I think both Metroid Prime: Federation Force and especially Other M are actually pretty good games.

God of War 3 has mediocre bosses.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories is better on the GBA.

Star Fox Zero (on co-op) is one of the best games on Wii U.

Super Mario 3D World is way better than Super Mario Odyssey.

I think motion controls in Skyward Sword were great.

The Last of Us is a terribly designed game were story will often get in the way of gameplay.

The Last Story is boring.

The faces in Xenoblade Chronicles X had nothing wrong.

Wii Sports/Resort and Wii Fit/Plus were terrific games.

Uncharted 4 is better than Uncharted 2.

... and I could keep going for hours...

Dude... too far.

Agree with this one, I've put a lot of hours into it.

Let's think.

Crash 2 is the best Crash game. Overwatch isn't responsible for the Loot Box thing, Mass Effect 3 was.  Can't think of many at the moment.

Hmm, pie.

VR is the future of gaming.

Related to point above: you've got issues if you spend thousands of hours a year gaming.

How is that supposed to be an unpopular opinion? If you're at thousands of hours a year, that's a serious addiction.

OT:

- Undertale is a really boring game and not very funny

- Wii U was a great console

- Handhelds >>> home consoles

- More story usually makes the game worse

I guess everyone is seriously addicted to their phones in that case.
Average for 2018 was 3 hours, 35 minutes a day spend on mobile phones, or 1280 hours a year, on average.
1 in five spend over 40 hours a week online, that's almost 2100 hours a year.
According to a Nielsen report, United States adults are watching five hours and four minutes of television per day, that's 1850 hours a year.

Out of 8760 hours a year, there isn't even time left for gaming lol.

-The satire in GTA games is usually heavy handed and lacking in any kind of subtlety.
-The first Red Dead Redemption is massively overrated. A solid 7 or 8 out of 10 game, but nowhere near the masterpiece it was made out to be.
-Motion controls are almost never well implemented, and nearly every single time make the game worse for having them.
-David Cage (Quantic Dream) is at best an average writer, and the stories in all of his games are really poorly told and full of holes. His games and stories never hold up to closer scrutiny or multiple playthroughs.
-DMC: Devil May Cry is a good game.

- I've really grown to dislike Mario. I don't like the way he looks or sounds. Very annoying. That creepy as f, always on smile. He looks crazy. And all the whooping and hooting....Rot in hell.

- Uncharted 4 is the worst game in the series. The gunplay in Uncharted 4 isn't just terrible, it's uniquely terrible in the series. I found the gunplay and general combat in Uncharted 2 sublime, with battles having a flow to them I feel eclipsed the game it was largely apeing in this regard, Gears Of War. Without going into any detail, Uncharted 4's gunplay sucked. It absolutely sucked, and it dragged the entire experience down. I dreaded every enemy encounter. It will be the first Uncharted game I will not platinum.

Metroid isn't that important.

It seldom sold well - and the extent of its influence is always shared with other bigger titles (Zelda, Castlevania).

Metroid Prime 4's delay didn't surprise or disappoint me in any way.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

I have a lot.  I will probably forget to include some, but here goes.

I do not like the Elder Scrolls.  RPGs are my favorite genre.  There was a time when I thought that I would never find a RPG I disliked.  Then I played Morrowind.  I just hate that game so much.

Trophies make the game worse.  Take them out and let me come up with my own accomplishments.

I wish Nintendo kept making mostly motion control games.  I thought the Wii was a huge breath of fresh air.  I really liked Wii Sports and thought Resort was even better.  Motion controls is exactly what Mario Kart needed.  Excitebots was super fun, etc....  I was hoping they'd gradually keep making more games and they'd get more complex while still keeping the same controls.  I would, for example, love a game like Breath of the Wild with sword/bow controls like Wii Sports Resort.

The PS4 is a "meh" console.  I have only found a few games I like on it.  I think the main reason that it is successful is because the XB1 and Wii U were totally pathetic and the PS4 won by default.

I think narrative/cutscenes are bad for action games.  I like them in RPGs, because they are supposed to be slow and story driven style games.  In action games, the cutscenes interrupt the action.  I just want to kick ass.  Screw the story.

2D action games are far, far, far,..., far better than 3D action games.  Most 3D action games really suck ass, because their controls are terrible.  At best they are merely "ok".  Specifically here is what I am talking about.
-FPS is just a terrible genre.  An early FPS game was mech warrior.  But in every FPS game since, I still feel like I am in a slow, clunky tank with legs.  My character lacks agility.  Sometimes there will be a great game with an awesome concept, like Bioshock, and then they just completely ruin it by making it FPS.  Same goes for Metroid Prime.
-3D platformers are inferior to 2D platformers.  Mario 64 is one of the worst games I've ever played.  I tried to give it a chance twice (on N64 and 3DS).  The game is just so boring.  Mario Odyssey is slightly better.  Mario Sunshine and 3D World are ok, but I find myself wishing I was playing a 2D Mario.  All other 3D platformers are even worse.  Jak and Daxter?  Yes, I'm looking at you.
-3D Zelda makes me want to cry.  Zelda used to be my favorite franchise.  Then I played Wind Waker and Twilight Princess.  I never wanted to play Zelda again after that.  Wind Waker destroyed my childhood.  Yes, it is that bad.  Now, I love Zelda: BotW, but that is because the exploration and freedom in the game are the best ever.  The action is ok, but not great.
-Most 3D "Beat-em ups" suck.  God of War is boring.  Dark Souls is fun in spite of the controls sucking.  I think of it as a rogue-like instead of an action game.  Then they make Bloodborne and force it to be an action game.  Yeah, Bloodborne sucks mostly because I was wishing I was playing Dark Souls.  Ninja Gaiden is ok, but the controls should be simpler.  Minecraft is a good game, but that has nothing to do with the action.

There are a few games 3D games that have decent action or even good action:
Decent 3D action: Uncharted, Spider-Man, BotW, Ninja Gaiden, (ok Dark Souls/Bloodborne are "alright" but nothing special on the action side)
Good 3D action: Katamari Damacy, Wii Sports/Resort, Dynasty/Hyrule Warriors, Mario Kart and most racing games
Good 2D action: So many just on the NES:  Super Mario 1-3, Zelda 1-2, Metroid, Castlevania 1,3, Megaman 1-2, etc....,  Plus tons more arcade games.  Plus lots more SNES/Genesis games.  Plus every Smash bros game.  Yeah, 2D action is where it's at.

I could post more, but that's probably enough for now....
