Well if Vita matters the Wii U matters in the context of this conversation. And considering half the switches 1st party line up are Wii U ports I'd say it definitely should be included.

Ports and sequels to Wii U games. The point I'm making is that anyone who bought the Wii U will find the Switch extremely attractive. So why say only 3ds and Vita bases are buying the Switch and not Wii U. That's what is being discussed and I feel my point is valid.

Instead of attacking others you could as well done research or PM shadow and he would gladly show X360 passing Wii on the very end of the lifetime.

My point is that Japanese gaming is handheld gaming.  I mean, PS4 is big worldwide while Vita is considered niche.  But in Japan the numbers are PS4 = 7.4m and Vita = 5.9m.  Vita is actually not that far behind the PS4 in Japan. (And 3DS = 24.4m)  It's just a handheld gaming culture. 

On top of that I'm sure most PS4 or Wii U owners have a handheld console in their household too.  I'm not sure how much overlap there is, but to be conservative I am only saying 3DS + Vita, and that would still put the Switch at 30m+.

And on gaming ofering for the japanese Vita probably had a lot more than PS4 as well.

Oh ya forget to comment, congrats on the fastest selling home console in the history of Japan. Continue the great work.
