In any case, back to topic, Switch is killing it. :D

You gave an official number for a region not in question. The "Americas". Ridiculous.

Now you see why no bet was made. Kerotan vindicated. 360 beat the Wii in the USA and to tell you the truth I'd have preferred if the Wii beat it.

US represents biggest part of Americas, I at least have some numbers, you didn't give anything.

Lol, I didnt want to bet because I know there is possibility that X360 sold more, but I wanted proof for that, proof that you couldnt provide.

Tnx.

The burden of proof is on you. You wanted proof. I already knew it sold more and needed motivation to do your digging.

And don't take solace in the fact you gave numbers for the Americas. It would be like me providing Asian numbers when talking about Japan. It would be Ludicrous.

Japan is definitely selling 30m+ Switches lifetime.  You see there are basically two types of gamers in Japan: those who prefer the 3DS and those who prefer the Vita.  Both types of gamers are getting a Switch!

And those who prefer Wii U. Add them to the list as well.

In Japan?  Doesn't really matter.  The Wii U is even more niche than the PS4.

Well if Vita matters the Wii U matters in the context of this conversation. And considering half the switches 1st party line up are Wii U ports I'd say it definitely should be included.

Ports and sequels to Wii U games. The point I'm making is that anyone who bought the Wii U will find the Switch extremely attractive. So why say only 3ds and Vita bases are buying the Switch and not Wii U. That's what is being discussed and I feel my point is valid.

Nahhh I don't think any Playstation console will get anywhere near to top their previous numbers in Japan.

Gues you could use this site to check your numbers.

Wii sold 45.5M on North America, so USA only probably less than 40M. X360 sold 49.11 so around 45M. How did Wii sold most in US last gen?

Switch sure could sell more than PS4, but easily? Aren't you reaching a little?

I'll reiterate. Last 4 gens Nintendo never dominated USA market. It was PS1, PS2, X360 and now PS4 (with X1 really close).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii_sales

Nintendo shipped 48.68m Wii units in Americas.

Can you gave me officall source for 360 sales?

Well Switch is selling more than PS4 in US same time period (with December results), so yeah Switch could sell more than PS4 in US and espacily more than XB1 that sold less than PS4.

Yes, sure, wikipedia are know official numbers?

And you were prove wrong and didn't even acknowledge it. You tried to brag about it even.

You are to confident or use words to loosely and out of place. Or easily got another meaning for you to be gloating so early?

Do you want to make a bet. Because I shouldn't have to do your research for you.

I dont want a bet, but DonFerrari clearly comes from wrong Wii numbers. I provided offical accurate numbers for Wii, you claiming same thing like he does, than pls provide fact that proves that, because I cant find officall numbers for 360 sales in US.

Did I? I have VGC numbers that are sold to customer. You said shipped and used the sold through estimation of wikipedia based on NPD for americas to say it sold more in USA.

Yeah didn't think so.

It seems like you are making an argument without doing research or providing facts. Miyamotoo is the only one that used official numbers to support his claim. You and DonFerrari did not.

Yes, will you acknowledge that you sided on the wrong them?

Because sorry if I was on the countryside for the last 12h so couldn't reply with digging on official numbers for both, or the countless threads where this was discussed and it was saved that X360 had passed Switch.

Instead of attacking others you could as well done research or PM shadow and he would gladly show X360 passing Wii on the very end of the lifetime.

Yeah, you are right.  I was just kidding.

My point is that Japanese gaming is handheld gaming.  I mean, PS4 is big worldwide while Vita is considered niche.  But in Japan the numbers are PS4 = 7.4m and Vita = 5.9m.  Vita is actually not that far behind the PS4 in Japan. (And 3DS = 24.4m)  It's just a handheld gaming culture.

On top of that I'm sure most PS4 or Wii U owners have a handheld console in their household too.  I'm not sure how much overlap there is, but to be conservative I am only saying 3DS + Vita, and that would still put the Switch at 30m+.

And on gaming ofering for the japanese Vita probably had a lot more than PS4 as well.
