Megiddo in these threads every week trying to detract from the fact that Switch is dominating Japan with doomsday ramblings, extremely transparent.

Anyhoo, fantastic week for Switch and Pokemon!

Let's see what happens when Japanese developers are comfortable with just making games for Nintendo only, should this domination continue. Possibly losing the Japanese market is for Sony a disaster that some aren't aware of. The recent happenings only made it more probable for me.

The irony

Doomsday? Hyperbolic as always. Where have I brought anything even remotely tangentially in the same field or level as "doomsday ramblings" in my post in this thread or hell in this forum at all? I understand that not every enjoys math, trends, and data analysis but leave the snide commentary to the side unless you actually have something to note to critique please.

It's definitely beyond sharing simple arithmetic on an online forum. There's a clear bias in your ramblings, not just in the Japan threads, but overall. In this thread alone, your agenda to assert Switch will be down yoy is extremely palpable.

Everyone has at least some bias to some company, so I don't see it as a problem

I have made no such assertion. I fully expect Switch to be up YoY. Hell, before this week I still had a small hope it could reach the 4 million goal.

I agree with you, namely when it is isn't huge bias. However if you notice someone's bias, you can call them out on it, and explain to them why it may be wrong. Such as using COMG historical ratios on Nintendo titles to predict Switch's ratios as an example of recent Megiddo post that I would have disagreed with.

Because Japanese developers primarily make games for the Japanese audience first.

As much as I disagree with Megiddo on a lot of stuff, I do agree with him here, namely for major titles, I do not think Japanese developers will ignore PS4/PC gigantic audience overseas. However companies like Level 5, will most likely start releasing exclusives like they did 3DS.

Middle Tier/Low Tier is where you might see a shift, namely with Sony's current Japanese policies.

Very true. Look at Capcom for example

Tbf he only said that "if the prior Pokemon COMG points to Media Create sales ratio is the same, you're looking at a range of 345k to 390k for first week sales for Let's Go."

Nintendo consoles have, for the most part, always sold more than their Sony (and everyone else) counterparts in Japan but we STILL get these silly assertions that 3rd parties will magically start developing for Nintendo only because of it. Who knows maybe the Switch will be the one...MAYBE.

I used past Pokemon game ratios to portray what the PMLG sales could look like if it kept a similar ratio as those in the past. Some nerve I had. Clearly the data I was using was biased.

That 64k for spain is huge

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Like I said, I disagree with comparisons, given how this generation is behaving much different than previous generation. So making range estimated based on that information, I found to be obviously wrong use of data. It was just an example of something I disagree with your use of data/numerical usage that you use, namely when the outcome looks more positive.
