Forums - Gaming Discussion - Black Ops 4 physical sales down by 50% in the UK, lowest physical sales since Modern Warfare 11 years ago

Let’s not jump to conclusions though that the game sold poorly as a whole compared to the other COD games. On my friends list there’s 9 people playing blops4, 1 of them bought the physical copy while the rest bought digital versions.

£60 in online stores.
£50 max in retail stores.
£42 online retail stores.

I don't expect PSN/XBL sales to have increased by 50% to offset the loss in sales. Not without a campaign, not at 110gb install size (has anyone actually asked Activision what the hell is up with that?) and not when it released a month earlier, when Parents aren't buying this game for their kids anymore because they are buying V-Bucks instead. :P

For a 60 dollar game, does a 5 hour campaign really would make a difference for COD buyers.  I am just wondering how many people who really purchase COD just to play a short campaign.

Yeah I've seen this also. Out of the 25 friends I know that got the game only 2 got ito physical.

What I want to know is what are it's combined physical/digital sales in the UK.

Don't really like COD anymore. Hopefully its sales decline more so they can start giving a shit again. Personally, I think it would be best for this series to have a reset like AC, but Acti won't really care as long as the product sells.

Lol do you even know anything about BO4? What the hell is up with this site and people blind hating COD?

Adding battle royal to join the industry in running with that shit until its stomped into the ground? Wow, they definitely deserve so much credit. Certainly plays a lot like BO3, and those graphics would be above average maybe back in 2012. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but removing the campaign to add little bits of multiplayer content isn't going to excite me for sure.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

"Little bits"

They have 4 zombies maps at launch instead of 1

A new BR mode that's quite good

And changed the way the mutiplayer played with 150 hp, manual heals, specialist ability.

5 more maps than last year and nuke town free next month.

2 new mp gane modes for CoD.

This year was a massive change but your obviously a single player fan so you probably don't care. I suggest trying CoD IW though . The campaign is really good.

This reminds me of the time I got the ban hammer because I said all COD games were basically the same! I see that is still a sore spot for some people. I'm glad I got out when I did.

I'm not even bothering with it, since there's no campaign. Campaign is all that i ever play.

Digital is the future.

Physical is outdated at this point.

I haven't purchased anything physical for several years now.

Hm, they took quite a lot of elements from Siege and add battleroyale..
and still less than WW2.
