Forums - Politics Discussion - President Trump Mocks Alleged Sexual Assault Victim

Trump should have gone further with his very funny comedy routine... She couldn't even remember anything about her lie detector test that was done 2 months ago. She couldn't remember if her therapist saw her notes or if she told them the contents of them a year before this. She didn't remember that she coached a friend on how to take a lie detector test 2 years prior. And couldn't remember dozens of airplane rides she had taken the last decade. I wonder if she remembered to wear underwear that day...

Well she isn't a sexual assault victim, so this title is false. It should be "Trump laughs at Democratic puppet".

Wait, which "victim?"  The one that can't even remember when and where her alleged assault took place, or the one that teamed up with Creepy Porn Lawyer who keeps insisting there were allegedly a bunch of underage gang-rape high school parties back in the day that she continued to attend until she was gang banged herself?

Side note:  If we are to "believe all women" without question or any solid proof or evidence of their alleged assault, then Tom Robinson was really guilty as f*ck in To Kill A Mockingbird after all, correct?

Please. She had one whole beer. Of course she isn't going to remember much.

You're acting as though she had been prepared for a polygraph test or something.

I was pretty much in favour of Ford until the lack of witnesses (for either party) and now this. If he gets cleared, this is going to do so much harm to wemon who actually want to come out about being assaulted.

If he is found to be guilty, there is more evidence to be seen.

Oh America. Wth is going on over there atm. So divided.

Exactly. That sums it all up rather well.

hang on, you're a woman, suppose this happened to you? wouldn't you want people to take you seriously?

This situation actually makes it worse on woman in this situation. The whole ''believe me because I'm a woman'' as all the evidence you need is pure folly. It hurts women more than it helps us.  Give us proof that this woman is a victim, prove to me that she went through what she want through and I'll back her.  I cannot jump on the bandwagon just because we share the same gender. Until this guy is proven guilty, I cannot support that she's an actual victim as of yet. Therefore I cannot condemn Kav either at this time.

There's no proof she's a victim. Accusations that are unproven should not be for public consumption that effects your life the way this has.

They should if the accused is running for public office. And why does it matter if they are unproven? Does that justify the behaviour of Trump and the audience?

That's ridiculous. So if you run for any position of power, anyone can come out with a claim, an unsubstantiated claim and then you're disqualified automatically? That's a dangerous and undemocratic precedent and bound to be abused.

Should Trump have done what he did? Depends on how you look at the situation, did he mock her or the fact that her accusation is taken as fact by anyone on the left? Did he mock a sexual assault victim or a person who expects to be believed even without an ounce of evidence? I agree that he shouldn't have mocked her but she has provided nothing as proof other than "I remember that it was him".

He's making fun of someone who can't even state which year this traumatic event supposedly happened. The supposed witnesses are against her and disagree with her, she can't say what place, who was there, she can literally not say anything except "it totally happened and it was 100% him". Look, if it actually happened, yeah, that's horrible. But we have seriously zero reason to believe it actually happened. I've heard more coherent stories from 4-year olds who are trying to explain who ate the last cookie. It's absolutely ridiculous and I would've laughed too if I were there, regardless of Trump support or not. Hinging your wagon to this story is only going to make you look stupid.

I am currently sigless.

It is actually IS being used and abused. One cannot look at the timing and nature of the accusations (whether true or not) and not see this as anything but the #metoo movement being polically weaponized.

Can't watch the video. Did he really make fun of Kellyanne? Oh wait, she actually defended it. Nevermind.

As much as I wish all the worst for Kavanaugh I cannot stand this obsession. I don't have any reason to believe her, but he trial revealed plenty of other good reasons why he should never ever be any kind of judge anywhere. Things that will get pushed under the rug because people are unsubstantiated claims instead of actual real reasons.

Then again, using the over emotional social justice route is probably the only way to stop him, seeing how logic and facts have done nothing to stop this administration.
