Webswinging is a lot faster than in the PS2 game. Sometimes it can be so fast that its easy to lose momentum, and wind up walking through the street, or crawling on the side of a building. I've unlocked the ability to hit X twice in order to gain speed, and that has made it a lot easier to stay in the air. When finding backpacks, crimes, or other things on rooftops, I find myself drastically overshooting the landing zone. I wish there was a braking ability or something. I haven't unlocked all the webswinging abilities though, so it may be there down the line. Also, it may just come down to how skilled I am with the game.

Stealth is fun, but a bit difficult. Wide open spaces like the Fisk construction sites are a lot different than the claustrophobic stealth areas in the Arkham games. Batman just has more gadgets, and ways to take enemies out. But then again, I haven't unlocked anywhere near all of the gadgets that Spidey has in this game. I also, haven't had the game teach me every last stealth attack yet. Currently doing a mission where I have to take enemies out in an art gallery. I kind of wish Spidey had the ability to hide behind corners, and do takedowns that way, but that would take away from the feeling of being Spiderman.

Combat is really good, and there's definitely a way to make Spidey airborne the entire fight, but I haven't mastered it. Enemies with guns are really annoying. Can't wait to unlock the ability to yoik guns out of their hands.

Being able to customize your suit with different gadgets and abilities is great. I hope there's a way to save favorite setups.

The game gives you ways to earn extra XP such as stealthing three enemies, but I 'm having trouble figuring out how to get the list to appear during combat.

TL/DR: Having fun, but haven't learned everything yet. I feel like I'm playing BotW, and have just barely left the Great Plateau.

You can use web shots (default R1 gadget) to lure enemies to specific spots. Hold L2, aim with analog at the spot you want to lure then press R1. Enemies close enough will get a question mark above their head and will walk to spot.

Clicking R3 will do a scan of enemies in area. When looking at one close enough, you'll see a *danger or *safe by them. If they have *safe by them then you can stealthily attack them without alerting anyone. The square attack will web them to you and hide body in web if used from a wall or perch. The triangle attack will just launch you to their location and knock them out silently but it will leave a findable body there.

You can use L2 then R2 to move to a perch (when white circle appears at spot) or the ceiling or wall (when reticle turns green).

Stealth is fairly easy once you learn all that.

Yeah, the game just barely showed me all that before I left for work. I need practice.

The sentence below is false.
The sentence above is true.

Just finished it, really awesome game but some of the side-content can get really tedious after a while. But gameplay itself is awesome and this game has some of the best and most fun boss-fights i have ever fought

It's really great so far. The webslinging feels fast and responsive. The combat is fast and fluid. I love this version of Peter Parker. There's also just a bunch of charm and effort that's gone into the game. Insomniac really loves this character and it shows through all the extra stuff they put into the game. As a Spider-Man fan, I'm really pleased.

Early impressions (about 4 hours on PS4 Pro)

Graphically impressive. Colors really pop! Animation is fluid and smooth. Controls are great though they throw a lot at you at first. Music is great. Makes you feel like a superhero as it swells to a crescendo. Lots of fun little details, too. Peter is mostly charming even though he won't ever stop talking.

What I dislike:
Too much of that "Pipe Dream" knockoff mini game.
Goddam crime happens every few seconds. You barely take care of one crime before another comes over the police scanner. I guess you can ignore them but I can't. It's worse than Niko Bellic's cousin in GTA4!

Not quite loving it like an Arkham game but I'm just getting warmed up. I expect great things as the story progresses.

I like to kind of roleplay in those scenarios. I think if the next mission I'm going to is urgent then I'll leave the crime and just think to myself that I'll let the police handle that one.

If I'm trying to get crime badges or just doing activities then I'll deal with most crime I see. But as far as I'm concerned all the crime gets dealt with it's just whether I do it or not.

PS4(PS5 Soon)and PC gaming

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

Oh man. The night time building rendering is really really bad.

game looks awesome during the day though
