I watched the last 20 minutes or so on stream. Gotta say, I'm a lot less excited right now. Though, I probably had the wrong expectations to begin with.

^ Same my hype levels died down abit.
The graphics just arnt in the same league as what we where shown at E3.
I didnt feel wow'ed looking at this, like the E3 trailer did.

Why would you focus on graphics in a stream that had in fat letters telling you that the footage does not represent the final look of the game? That thing was an alpha at best.

The graphics were fine, it was just all of the rest that was pretty aggressively meh.

GOTG for sure, if it releases this generation at least. Looks amazing.

Outsides in the towns, things look great compaired to other games.
Insides & the character's? not that impressive in terms of graphics.

To early to even mention talks of GOTG.

I'd say it's bit silly to call anything GOTG by one gameplay demo - just as it's silly to measure game's value by its graphics.

This is supposed to be proper CRPG, based on pen and paper RPG system - if one is an RPG fan, I think excitment mostly comes from, what seems so far, plethora of ways you can build your character, play it and underlying mechanisms...that and pretty amazing attention to details in world building.

I myself was so full of joy when I saw that screen with 6 attributes - not something you can find anymore in diluted "RPGs" from AAA devs/publishers (though CDPR is as guilty on that matter as well with their previous work).

Well...., technically impressive, but in concepts, there's nothing that i haven't see in others games long time ago only updated and polished to today standars. The gameplay is a mix of FEAR (a game from 2005), Fallout 4 (1st person interactivity with the world and characters and the RPG elements ) and recent Deus Ex (tech gadgets). And talking about Deus Ex, the level design looked similar to those games too with the closed environments that you can play guns blazin, stealthly or with your words, with a level of detail of Half Life 2 (a game from 2004). The open world part looked directly similar to something like GTA of Watch Dogs. Visually the game looked great, with a lot happenning on scene, but to me the game looked current gen for PC and probably will receive just a little downgrade for consoles. It will be the best lookng open world game of the gen in 2019 or 2020 (or should be).

Those parts of the demo looked from solid to impressive, but.......the story, characters, setting, dialogue (the choice system) and game design didn't impressed me at all or even didn't like in some aspects. The demo didn't convince me at all why i should care about the characters, the world and its problems, I felt empty. The visual concept of the game is something I already seen multiple times in other games or media. To me, the game, apart from the technical aspect, looked boringly generic and nothing special. What I liked the most from The Witcher III wasn't the graphics or the gameplay (in fact its gameplay is rather mediocre), it was its storytelling, characters and world building. I did not feel any interest in living in this world and care about its people. That original 40 min demo of The Witcher III demo back then hyped me a lot more than this demo.

Definitively the game was overhyped by the media because is from CD Project and people want to believe they experienced the next big thing, but don't get me wrong, the game will still be good and one of the best of the generation, the quality and polishness are undeniable, but when people is saying this game is going to change the industry or be the GOTG...., sorry, but I don't feel the same.

A 9/10 demo-presentation, good, solid, but nothing revolutionary like most media said.

I don't really give anything on the name of a studio who has just now discovered that roleplaying might include ranged combat. I have my concerns that all that story bullshit and pseudo edge will distract from the potentially fun gameplay.

looks phenomenal; day one purchase for sure.

Looks promising, but every time I hear about this game I just think about my friend who is boycotting it because of no third-person, lol. (In his defense, he gets motion sickness in FP games and not TP, and they did say originally that this would have the option to switch)

I don't think they ever said that. Those were just leaks from what I remember. And it makes sense to go just FPS. Making this TPS compatible would just be a nightmare and a lot of work I believe

Won't stop him from complaining, and I have to listen to it, ha ha.

Hey. Aren't you the guy who said the Switch would flop?

Yeah.. not impressed, considering the hype around it.

Really hoping that CDPR can get this game out sometime next year. I believe they said it's playable start to finish, so hopefully it shouldn't be too far off.

Seems like this game is nothing for me because it's in no way similar to The Witcher series. It's a shame CD Project Red should have worked on something different imo. I loved The Witcher 3 and now I have to wait even more to get a sequel or something similar from CD Project Red.

Nevertheless I have to admit that the game looks amazing.

It has character creation, did you not watch the beginning the demo? It's just that the story is pre-made around a single character archetype with a name and a voice, but they said there will be some story differences based on what background choices you picked in character creation.

ugh, no I skipped the beginning because it was taking too long to get to anything worthwhile. That's looks kind of Mass Effect-ish, which I guess is better than a Skyrim type character creator at least. Would still prefer a proper character though.

Exactly how I feel about this one (I knew I could not be the only one...)

The game looks really good however, it will be nice to be able to explore the city and inside the buildings, but the things mentioned above will definitely keep me from buying on day 1.
