Not a bad debut for Mario Tennis Ace. lower in pre-order double sales than Minecraft.

Switch just missed a 50+ week. shame.

I'm hoping it's not too early to post. The Switch is very much overrepresented in Japan compared to the rest of the world. Hopefully it can help boost their declining gaming economy. Kinda sad, actually, as I remember back in the DS vs PSP days things were doing so well. Japan must have been at least 25% of the global market.

Notes;
Positive:
Mario Tennis did decent, same with Minecraft.
Switch Games and Detroit continue to show nice legs.

Meh:
Edit: Both PS4 at the baseline and Switch the same as last week which is a bit puzzling, given new software.

Negative:
Gundam did pretty bad when compared to COMG, and the previous title success (This only had PS4 version it should have increased by decent amount). I thought this would do at least 90-100k.

Good numbers for Switch all round and hello Fifa 18, funny seeing you here.

So yeah the baseline for Switch is between 45-50k for Switch. Mario Tennis had a nice opening for what it is. I am surprised that New Gundam Breaker sold that much actually, lots of backlash from Japanese gamers who are fans of the franchise. Guess that's what happens when you switch to a new engine/studio. The PS4 is at a base 20k, which was expected.

Thanks for digging that up. Perhaps review scores are playing a bit part. According to the chart, it's the lowest reviewed game on the list.

I always found breaker to not be as good as the lets say versus series, did the new engine really make it that much worse?
