Do you think the people praising the Switch's library are hypocrites for not praising/not buying the Wii U's library?

Let me guess, this video is Arlo attacking low-hanging fruit by addressing a controversy with overtly bad points in an attempt to make the Switch seem more flawless than it actually is? I probably hit the nail on the coffin. I'm waiting for the day when someone who actually has decent points about the Switch's library can actually speak up and have their points addressed, instead of people always replying to the dumbest of arguments to make an entire subsection of people who are disappointed with the Switch's library seem ridiculous.

I feel like Arlo does this a lot. To this day I still remember how bad his video about ports was, because there was so much inherent flaws in his arguments, but also because the arguments were so unoriginal that the whole video was basically the same defense that had been used for months by every Nintendo fan with access to the internet already. I mean does Arlo not get the irony when he says "but it is a pet peeve of mine when people - instead of stating their own opinions - attack the opinions of others, and make silly generalizations like this, ignoring the many, many factors that come into play with any given subject".  Like really? Any of your argumentative videos make silly generalizations to oversimplify any points that go against your own viewpoint, and are just completely unoriginal.

But sure Arlo, congratulations on making a video pointing out the obvious. It feels incredibly disingenuous, but yes, that image is incredibly stupid, and you pointed out why well.

I'm sure that's an honest mistake, but I cracked up so much I couldn't read any further.

The real hypocrisy is how he believes these are the only games of note of the Wii U's 4 years. Where's Pikmin 3, where's Wooly World, where's Color Splash, where's Tokyo Mirage Sessions, where's Fatal Frame 5, Star Fox Zero ( I could go on, but why, you get the point)?

Those games aren't even shown on meme Arlo was talking about.

Besides most of those games that you mentioned are good but not system sellers. PAper Mario Color Splash and Starfox Zero sold poorly and were not liked by most fans of those series.

Stupid meme as one is comparing a consoles entire life to another's first year.

Also one of the games, Zelda, for all intents and purposes for many a Wii U user did not exist on the WIi U, cause it came out the same time as the Switch started. So anyone who purchased a switch at launch would have zero reason to get it on the Wii U and thus did not have access to Zelda prior to the Switch release date.

I mean I owned the WIi U on launch and the Switch on launch. Why would I ever consider the Zelda game as a Wii U game. I never got to play it on there.

But anyone saying Wii U has no good games, or isn't worth owning is stupid. Beyond what you showed in the pic, there are a bunch of other great games. It's like the Gamecube. Hardware sales mean jack shit, it had good games. If I were to go back in time and be able to repurchase systems or not, I would still purchase the gamecube over the PS2. No question about it. As for Wii U, I would probably skip it. I don't regret owning it, as it had many great games, but in retrospect many have now come to the Switch or will, and also none of the good games are GOTG type games, so I could have saved money and had more games to play now, such as I would probably have gotten Captain Toad Treasure tracker, but since I played it on Wii U I feel no need to get it on Switch. Though the portability does make it infinitely more desirable.

Isn't that a normal saying? I hear it just as often as hit the nail on the head?

I could be wrong, but I feel like he was pointing out the irony/hypocrisy in your post.

You know, like a racist calling another person racist.

It's not. That Urban Dictionary page had 2 likes, and based on what it said it probably wouldn't help you.

What irony or hypocrisy?

He specifically highlighted coffin so I'm waiting to see what he found so funny.

Ok. Then change it to "hit the nail on the head". You clearly understood what I meant, so you could have just taken a mental note and corrected it. Not that hard to do, is it?

Edit: I changed it for you so you could concentrate better : )

I thought he was highlighting what was bolded. You know the part about instead of stating their own opinions - attack the opinions of others, and make silly generalizations

Considering your post didn't have any points, but just generalizations about how his arguments were not good. Were not good how?

You missed the point, but whatever.

I'm sure to a peasant like me it's hard to comprehend your level of critique. I apologize.
