Ah, so it's more like Nazis to tell people to be considerate of autistic people than it is to want a war that wipes out the "undesirable" people...

I will not respond to someone who calls me a Nazi for having a differing opinion. Way to try and strawman me into that one, what an insane leap from saying people need to toughen up, Autistic people included  so people can better hamdle reality to being lumped in as a genocidel Nazi.

You're the one who went way far out with some war about removing the weaker people from society, I have no idea why you even decided to bring that up. It's also ironic that you tell people to toughen up and then say that you're going to ignore me for comparing your social Darwinist rhetoric to Nazism.

Without the Autistic people we would just have more mindless sheep,i think they're a great asset for humanity because they think differently and are able give us better views like lets say Einstein or Newton did and yes both of those showed big signs of autism but back then it wasnt as accepted to be different as today.

Im not dissagreeing btw ,just wanted to type this. :p

I wasn't calling autistic people undesirable, which is why I used quotation marks

I know but i was commenting on how for some they are :p

I sometimes take care of my sisters autistic kid and its not easy at a young age, needs a lot of planning so he knows what gonna happen beforehand but outside of that he's very intelligent and sweet. Instead of making lots of friends he will prob make a few friends so he can keep a feel of control but on the other hand does develop more into things like building blocks and arranging things and more than the other kids do.

You need to do some research on what autistic people are before saying such things, its kinda easy to do with the internet these days you know?

I hate to be "that guy", but just today I've come across multiple posts on VGC using the term "autistic screeching" to mock a company/person's position or behaviour.

Just thought a reminder was in order that it's kinda a bit rude to VGC's multiple autistic members. Autistics are people too, and nobody likes to be demeaned.

VGC is generally a lovely and welcoming forum, so let's all do our bit to keep it that way.

Thanks for your consideration, and remember to...

What are you autistic?(jk)

Seriously though calling someone autistic is less derogatory and more an expression used to sum up a lot of things into one word just like fag. It isn't intended to be derogatory to actual autistic people nor is fag to gays. It's just the same word used to sum up a lot of different things except actual autism. Of course no one is actually calling someone autistic as in with the disease autism in a derogatory way. O just think being too sensitive about these things for others is not helpful. I'm sure many people with the disease don't mind the humour as well while others with the disease might. Stop being offended for other people and let them speak for themselves instead. And learn to have a sense of humour

Umm, if you were more familiar with him you'd know that he actually is, so that joke kind of falls flat.

If we live in a democratic country we should be entitled to voice our opinions. Back in the good old days we used to have freedom and democracy. It now looks like we are living in a dystopian totalitarian world as predicted in  George Orwell's 1984.

What about people's freedom not to be insulted or mocked?

Freedom to offend is a thing. Whenever you speak or voice an actual opinion you are daring to be offensive to someone. Without that, you can never ever have a real worthwhile discussion. If I defend a pro something I am offending the con to that thing. You can't truly be a thinking valuable human being without offending someone.

People should say they want to. I don't agree with limiting speech on forums. Banning people from using insults is not likely to change their opinion.

Don't agree with limiting speech? What about giving out other people's personal information?

We'll don't I look stupid. A lot of my argument doesn't apply to him now anyways. I never really use these terms unless someone says not to use them for some reason or the other. I think word censorship shouldn't occur like that and I stand by it no matter what. I demonstrated how much of an idiot and retard I am by not realising what the above human being is. Control through the pretence of kindness should be stopped, like the stupid c-16 bill in canada. I am not willing to give an inch only to have a mile taken. This is my belief. Some times kindness requires firmness. Looking at the bigger picture, I'm not willing to accept the censorship of words. Fag, autistic whatever. I don't use them but I don't want them to be removed from being said only to realize next words like retard dumb idiot fat etc are targeted as well

As for the first amendment, nothing wrong with it.

That would more fall along the lines of like Defamation, or libel. You know if you write a story about someone that is false and hurts their character or business, you can be sued. The same would hold true for giving out personal information on someone.

You can do it, but doesn't mean there are not consequences. The reason there is a difference to giving out personal information versus calling someone a faggot, is that the personal information can ruin someone live by financial reasons (id theft, ect) or personal security reasons (rape, murder, ect)

One is in the persons control, the other not. I give out someone's info and who knows who might use that info and what they may do with it. I say a word to someone and it's up to them how that word affects them. They may not care, or they may contemplate suicide. Either way though, it's in their hands, or minds.

I'm not trying to downplay bullying, but there is a huge difference between bullying someone and giving out someone personal info. I like to think of it like Catcalling a lady or straight up raping her. Both are sexual harassment, but the degree is vastly different.
