Yeah, not really talking about fanbases... just making an observation about the forum.  Exclusives rule all here.  It really isn’t a good representation of the majority of people at all.   I merely used the ps4 as the example because days gone is a ps4 exclusive.

Well, like I said to Azzanation, I don't see anything wrong with being more excited for an exclusive. Plus, that's really a stretch, as plenty of folks here have high praise for multiplatform games. Perhaps Anthem just doesn't appeal to a lot of those people yet.

Yeah, sure, nothing wrong with it, but outside of Internet forums it is also not the way most people think.  It is just an interesting observation.  If you think this is a good representation of how the two games will perform, then let’s look back at this when the games come out see which one was more successful then.

No matter. I'm not that excited for either one.

Anthem on my PC and Days Gone on my PS4(lol...doesn't need that emphasis though for an exclusive).

I don't think Microsoft had anything to do with the release date. Would be stupid for both game to release on the same date. If Anthem doesn't get delay Sony should move Days gone, the Feb 22nd would of been a great slot for Sony.

They can't exactly rush Days Gone and release it earlier though, so I believe moving it is not a smart idea. If you release it earlier it might have some jaggies you couldn't fix in time, plus Kingdom Hearts 3 releases January 29th as announced earlier today. If you move it to March you might end up moving it against the new Assassins Creed if the leaks end up coming true and maybe even Metro Exodus.

Sony moved God of War from March to April because of Far Cry 5. Maybe this time will be same.

I thought they released Destiny already? Anyway, what they had to show at the conference makes me doubt they will be anywhere close to putting out a full polished game by the beginning of 2019

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

Why should either move the release date, those games have little to none in common. So I doubt they will affect eachother negatively.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Given that i'm getting both it's going to be tough choosing which game to start.

Anthem looks like a prettier version of The Division and Destiny. Just with a huge PVP minus. The story also seems to be completely nothing of note.
Days Gone looks like a huge robust singleplayer game with a ton of things to do, and a ton of things i want to do.
Guess which wins.
