Wow, this game is such a fucking scam. I'm just thinking about the amount of shit $180M could buy/fund and they're still not done with this game.

Well they are making both a massive single player world, hand crafted at that, as well as working on an even bigger world for the MMO side of the game. All of this at the same time of course, as well as other aspects ranging from first person to spaceship combat, as well as the game's economy, mechanics etc. It's not some simple and easy to make game.

Nah, they've been giving out information on what they've been doing via their youtube channel, website and forums. Folks like Yong refuse to even go to any of those places. Same goes for the naysayers as well. 

If anyone here who absolutely dislikes the game, had even bothered to check their development cycle diagram, you would know what's going on and just how complicated the design process really is. 

Do a good chunk of you on this site think games are the easiest thing to design for?. Like the AAA ones featuring multiple instances, moving objects, dealing with MMO like crowds etc.

Also, while you call them whales, Activision calls everyone a whale for buying into their loot boxes and general MT's. Look at the state of AAA gaming these days with cosmetics locked behind walls, while still asking up front costs and tossing in season passes, store exclusive DLC and what not up the wazoo. 

This game is either going to go down as a great game or the biggest shafting of crowd funding to date if it cocks up it could hurt crowd funding a level higher than any other project that has gone south, Only other game that has had the exact same type of money poured into it even among AAA was GTAV. The pressure to deliver is one thing but one wonders how much longer those who funded it are willing to wait.

It could go either way, but I know for sure that even if it was to release, only those who backed it and were ever into it would call it a great game.

The game is achieving feats that other games aren't, it's as simple as that. You can deny that all you want, but the footage and the talk from the devs is proving as such. You just want to focus on the negative side of the game, and you're proving this even now.

So the game is like a gigantic pay mod, where only specific people can play the games and truly enjoy the games, (rich person toys)
