Right, but to be honest, this might not be enough. We might need to give every teacher their own Metal Gear. |
I like the way you think.
And then students who want to perform mass shootings have to get their own Metal Gear Rays. A Metal Gear to surpass other Metal Gears.
On a serious note though, it's interesting to see how people are reacting to these things as time progresses.
All the talking points have already been made over and over and over. I've written my fair share of walls of text on this. And no matter how many children die, as long as it's not their own children, you'll have a group of people that will never change their mind.
So joking about how absurd the situation is is one way to cope with it.
I don't make light of what happened in this school today. Or any of the other 327654365342 mass shootings this year.
It's just very taxing that year after year nothing gets done. But I do hope the Parkland School activists and the people they inspire manage to have a profound effect on USA's political climate in the near future. And I hope USA can one day be similar to other first world countries where our sense of freedom isn't tied to having guns, but rather not having to worry about guns.
There are other ways to kill people, but few, if any are as effective in killing as many people in a short amounts of time as a gun. Other weapons tend to be a lot more situational.
