great to hear, so hope that atlus let us not wait long for the next part

It'll probably be quite a while, I wouldn't expect Persona 6 till 2022 or later. xD

In the meantime I'd like an updated version of Persona 3, I've never played that one.

Persona 1-2 released on the same console, as did Persona 3 and 4 (which looked like it used the same engine).

Given how lackluster Persona 4 was plot-wise I wouldn't wish it for P6, but there are pretty good chances we see Persona 6 on PS4 before 2022.

Edit : Catherine Full Body is developed by team zero, IIRC P-studio's current project are unknown, so if they are using P5's engine and considering Sega's renewed interest in the series following P5's amazing results, there are few reasons for Persona 6 to not be in development right now.

I just wonder, considering todays costs of production, if 2.2 million is enough to cover everything and bring a good profit for the project.

Easily, Persona isn't a high budget game. BOTW only needed around 2m sales to break even according to Miyamoto.

Persona 5 had initially 40 people, and at full production 70 people working on it. BOTW had over 100 people working on it.

Thats very interesting. I keep thinking that production costs nowadays are going to destroy the 8ndustry at the end of the day. Good to know that we can still uave games that sells 1-2 million and are not considered failures for the companies.

Every unit of sales is deserved. It's amazing to see the huge jump from Persona 3/Persona 4. It seems the series is finally getting the recognition it deserves and I couldn't be happier.

Fantastic sales success on playstation. It will do 2.5m np and maybe even 3m.

Ouch - kinda low in sales considering the amount of press this game receives. Mind you, this is a niche title so it’s understandable.

But it’s good to see that console gaming is healthy - even in the more niche segments.

The sales really aren't low at all for what it is, in fact it's the best selling Persona game by far and no doubt Sega/Atlus is very pleased with it's sales.

Thats so true, Atlus (and Sega) are very happy about it.

Catharine Full Body(Remake), yes. Release is maybe end of the year :) And a complete new (j)rpg is coming in future, by team zero : )

+ two Dancing-Music Persona Games for PS4 = )

By comparison, PUBG on one platform (PC) has sold over 30 million units and on Xbox One it’s at over 5 million copies (as of March).

But it’s good to see that console gaming is healthy - even in the more niche segments.

I don't see how this compares with PUBG whatsoever.

PUBG was developed by Koreans.

As a asian , I really respect them.

You don't get it? Let me explain. It's very simple.

Think about any game. Which one did you think about? It was Monster Hunter World, wasn't it? I knew it.
So Monster Hunter World sold around 7,8M units so far. Nice! Best selling MH game. But let's find a game that sold much better than MHW, and compare them side by side.

GTA V sold over 90M copies so far.
So let's change the "nice" to "ouch", and "Best selling" to "Kinda low."

That's how you do it.
I read it in this book I recently picked up.

Glad I could be of assistance.

Makes me wonder how Dragon Quest 11 will sell. In all honesty, I dont care if a game is turn based, or real time just as long as its fun. Sadly Dragon Quest 11 is coming out at such a bad time, around the release of Spiderman, Tomb Raider and Spyro.
