its essentially gonna be known as Switchs PS4/XB1 game. Basically most realistic/detailed game Switch will ever have compared to their other releases

To be fair if Samus Returns, a 2D Metroid of all things, worked fine in 30fps, I guess it can't be too horrible in Prime. |
True story. 60FPS would be nice... but I'd like MP4 to be pretty (and at a decent resolution).

Realistic graphics are too expensive and Nintendo cannot and should not afford all this wasted time and money.

It will obviously look like Metroid Prime in HD and push what the Switch is capable of. But as long as it's not Federation Force i don't care
MP1, MP2, MP3 and even Metroid Other M are all 60 FPS games, its pretty safe to say that MP4 will also be 60 fps game.

Nintendo cares a lot more about framerate than resolution, I've noticed. I have no doubt it'll run at 60FPS.
i also have no doubt that it'll be beautiful. Unlike many FPS from the Gamecube era, MP1 & MP2 both are still stunning (in their own rights, mind you).
Actually this thread just convinced me that I need to dig out my MPTrilogy disc, dust off the wiimotes and nunchucks, and replay everything. And that they need to port all three to Switch at bargain price. $15 each and I'm on it so, so hard.

Any topic about Prime 4 scares me. Metroid Prime is one of the most important franchises for many people (including myself). Every game (except Federation Force) is a freaking masterpiece in every aspect: from gameplay, to graphics, to music. And as such, I wish with all my heart that Prime 4 continues to be what the other Prime games were to its respective consoles: a high point for the Nintendo Switch.
But... we don't know anything about the game. We don't know who is developing it, we don't know how it looks, we don't know how it plays... and if you think about it, I'm not sure Nintendo knows how important is Metroid Prime. I'm not sure they understand that Prime 4 has to push the Switch to its very limits in every possible way. I don't think they understand that they have to make sure it's not only a good game, but an excellent one. I'm not sure if they understand that, if they screw this up, fans are going to be crazy mad at them.
We need information. Until I don't see a gameplay trailer and know who is behind this game, I won't feel calm.

Well, given that Metroid Samus Returns is more or less realistic, I would say yeah, it will likely have the same realism as past MP games. Even Federation Force was mostly realistic outside the character models, which is what made the game look even worse since it wasn't stylized so much as it looked like you enabled bobble head mode in a normal MP.
Realistic graphics, at least to the level of MP1 or Samus Returns I think is a given. Framerate is the question. Could very well be 60, but they may opt for 30 to have cleaner visuals.

Bandai Namco is developing game.
Probably not. Nintendo isn't really known for choosing realistic graphics in general and the NS is gonna limit what they can do.
