Bolded the important word. Sure SNK Heroines and stuff like Touhou outsell the PS4 counterparts by quite a bit. But Disgaea 5 Switch double PS4 version?

The man admits himself that Disgaea 5 Switch hasn't yet hit 200k in the west and 40% of owners who bought Disgaea 5 Switch already had the game on PS4. Means the PS4 version definitely sold more than half and probably even outsold it.

That does make it sound like it hasnt actually outsold the PS4 version of the game on the Switch.....

Wow, this was very...interesting to say the least. This is the first time I've heard a company speak like this. Yamashita is very open.

I think this means if Disgaea 6 is in development, Switch will get it as well. Can't wait dood!

Like was said before, the actual thread title should probably be "Launch Alinged Switch Disgaea 5 outsold the PS4"
But its probably still overall sold more on the PS4, so I doubt they ll just stop makeing Playstation versions.

I consider Disgaea a playstation title too.
Like it started on Playstation 2, and PSP/Vita, PS3, and now PS4.... its all been on playstation.

It would be stupid to look back on the industry leader with contempt and not release games on their platform.

Now kinda sad I got Disgaea 5 on launch of the Switch from the Jap eshop (because it was fully in English as well as Japanese) but my sale counts as someone in Japan not someone in the West... on the upside though, I did have that game at launch rather than months later when it came to the west.
