Wow looks like we wont be seeing another monster hunter game for nintendo. And capcom must regreted they made all those monster hunter games exclusive to nintendo.

This was literally on the second page.

And in what way does that put blame on Nintendo over Capcom?

Surely you are joking right?

I'm not trying to make a big deal out of this because its not worth it, but we can celebrate games being successful without getting petty.

you now remember a certain group of people who expected (and wanted) this game to fail because it wasn't on a Nintendo platform

No I'm not joking. "Capcom must regret their decision to put game on X platform." Does that condemn X as being at fault? No.

You're perceiving attacks where there are none.

I fail to see how that comment implies some form of criticism towards nintendo as well.

Of course the management of the mh franchise is entirely capcom's responsability. The fact that making it a nintendo exclusive for the last 9 or so years slowed down it's evolution is indisputable, though.

Capcom would be stupid to make a low budget monster hunter game. They will want to make monster hunter better so they don't lose any fans. Unless nintendo start making powerful console again, it's hard to see another monster hunter for nintendo

Switch is powerful enough to have a version of whatever the PS4 receives, just downgraded enough to run it.As Capcom themselves said, it would be difficult to make World work on Switch, but not impossible. If they think it could sell there, and its obvious that it can, there will be interest for such a port.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

PS4 at 5 million and Xbox One at 2 million?

Probably closer to ~6m PS4 and ~1m XB1, imo.

I don't think porting World to switch is a viable option, rather the next monster hunter should be designed with all platforms in mind from the start, including Switch. Some have said this approach would limit the games potential, however I don't think it would to any significant degree. I doubt World would have been that much different if it had been designed to run on the Switch from the start, the major differences would have been behind the scenes and not noticeable to the player, more how the game is developed/rendered/loaded etc, then the actual result we play.

This is what i meant.Whatever the next MH ends up being, and will probably just be some kind of expansion, "lower effort" game that uses pre existing World asset and ideas, to be made for all platforms. Its simply easier and more economically viable than just making a separate game for just one single platform.
