I know they're tired of Halo but the Marathon series with Master Chief in it would kick ass... It's been pretty heavily implied that they take place in the same universe, only Marathon is a few hundred years later. Both of the characters wear "Mjolnir" armor as well.
It makes sense given the ending of Halo 3.

I think Bungie has earned plenty of fans to warrant their desire of branding themselves as a developer over their blockbuster Halo. Few developers have brought more to the FPS world than they have... Maybe Valve and id. That's about it.

Myth: TFL and Myth II: Soulblighter rocked, but Myth III, that wasn't developed by Bungie, was utter shit.
So we can be rather confident that at Bungie they're able to take their magic touch with them when they go away. (And the list of excellent games made by them after Myth is an even stronger proof).

How about growing up and laying off the insults?
I won't follow them until they can make another good series. You aren't a good developer if all you can make is one good series, which is questionable on how great it was.
