Why is it so hard to accept Nintendo getting an exclusive 3rd party game? No one says anything when MS and Sony do. Why are people so petty?

Yeah, Sony fans bought all except Bayonetta and it is the reason why Sony refused to fund it. Good, you are telling me exactly why Nintendo get Bayonetta is good for all because Sony doesn't care anyway. Sold less mean nothing, Nintendo is the one take the loss and they still continue with the third, no one can do that if the second sold much less than the the first outside Nintendo |
And this is a reason for the dev to bash Sony fans because?

What are you talking about? They have funded Platinum games and Sony gamers have bought them. Bayo 1 and 2 haven't been bought in great quantities by no userbase (in fact Bayo 2 sold less on the WiiU than Bayo 1 sold on PS3 despise all the bugs and the X360) |
It's a real shame the awful PS3 version of Bayonetta 1 outsold the 360 version; most players experiencing a greatly inferior version can't have done the game's reputation any favours.

Platinum should have known better than to not develop Bayonetta on a system that houses the best selling hack and slash series. Xbox gamers have no history with hack and slash games outside Ninja Gaiden which wasn't that popular. PlayStation gamers have always been the biggest fanbase for hack and slash games with God of War and Devil May Cry. Not to mention Bayonetta's aesthetics are Japanese which don't do well on Xbox either. Kamiya lacks business sense.

I suspect they led on 360 because it was their first HD game and the 360 offered a friendlier development environment compared to the notoriously complex PS3.

That would be understandable if every other company wasn't already doing it and given the business opportunity a PS3 version would provide it was a dumb decision to not invest in optimising for the cell.

Even in 2009 a lot of devs were still struggling with the PS3; multiplats tended to be worse, and Platinum not only had no PS3 experience, but no HD experience at all. They passed on developing the PS3 version themselves specifically because they didn't think they could do a good enough job of it; it was Sega who ended up handling the botched PS3 port.
Not sure I should make a new thread on this; but Kamiya opens up about the Bayonetta 1 and 2 exclusivity and the PS3 and PC of Bayonetta 1.Here' the bullet points.
Bayonetta 1 was contract work that Platinum signed on with Sega to make and it was intended to be a 360 exclusive.
Sega want a PS3 version but decided to outsource it to a trading partner of theirs.
It was also Sega's decision to port to Steam last year
Bayonetta 2 was originally suppose to be a multiplatform game published by Sega but Sega pulled funding. But Nintendo step in and saved it.
Nintendo also funded the Bayonetta 1 Wii U and while they do own rights that version's exclusive content, they did give Sega permission to include the Japanese dub as the 360 and PS3 version of Bayonetta 1 didn't have a Japanese dub in Japan.
From the start of Bayonetta 3's development it was decided from the beginning that Nintendo would fund and published the title and it did take awhile to get green lit.
I've got something I want to tell you all. It's about Bayonetta 3. (1/15)

Sega's decision to port it over to Steam, falls under their promise from a few years back, where they claimed to want to port over a lot of older titles towards PC. Bayo 1 falls under that promise.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
