Not sure I should make a new thread on this; but Kamiya opens up about the Bayonetta 1 and 2 exclusivity and the PS3 and PC of Bayonetta 1.Here' the bullet points.

Bayonetta 1 was contract work that Platinum signed on with Sega to make and it was intended to be a 360 exclusive.

Sega want a PS3 version but decided to outsource it to a trading partner of theirs.

It was also Sega's decision to port to Steam last year

Bayonetta 2 was originally suppose to be a multiplatform game published by Sega but Sega pulled funding. But Nintendo step in and saved it.

Nintendo also funded the Bayonetta 1 Wii U and while they do own rights that version's exclusive content, they did give Sega permission to include the Japanese dub as the 360 and PS3 version of Bayonetta 1 didn't have a Japanese dub in Japan.

From the start of Bayonetta 3's development it was decided from the beginning that Nintendo would fund and published the title and it did take awhile to get green lit.
