title should be change to shipped

No, many people here are wrong. Nintendo’s site, right under the hardware says that these numbers are worldwide consolidated sales of life-to-date. Meaning sold. Not shipped.

That was what I thought too. The numbers are sold through LTD.

Is there a thread that compares the Switch's shipments up until now to the PS4's shipments when you align the PS4's different region launches?

I feel like one was in my buddy for a while but I forget

Unfortunately, that's not possible, since Sony never broke up their PS4 shipment numbers by region.

The report says they sold 12,13 millions units during this fiscal year in 9 months. But they sold 2,74 millions during march (previous fiscal year), so 12,13+2,74=14,87

Ah really? That sucks, would be super interesting. Then again I wonder if the Switch and PS4 have nearly the same amount of unfulfilled regions as of the first 10 months(rounding up).

Edit: The Switch shipped 14.86 million in 299 days whereas supposedly the PS4 shippped 14.4 million in 372 days. Still, the regions might help.

No they said they had already passed the 10m mile stone which is a different context to what you're saying they never said we've sold 10m only that they had passed it.

Super Mario Odyssey over 9M? wow...

This is... how is the attach rate. If we assume something like 12-13M sell-through... two thirds of Switch-owners have Mario. Wow. And I'm not even among them. Even Mario Kart sold to over half of the userbase. That's ... I don't have words.

3DS-FC: 4511-1768-7903 (Mii-Name: Mnementh), Nintendo-Network-ID: Mnementh, Switch: SW-7706-3819-9381 (Mnementh)

my greatest games: 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024

10 years greatest game event!

bets: [peak year] [+], [1], [2], [3], [4]

I'm guessing Nintendo is going to up their projections again.

You clearly don't know what you're talking about. Today was the day Nintendo announced its sales figure. And this is what they said:

"For the nine months ended December 31, 2017, the Nintendo Switch hardware sold well following the launch and sales volume rose substantially during the holiday season. For the Nintendo Switch software, SUPER MARIO ODYSSEY was released in October and has been a big hit, with global sales reaching 9.07 million units. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe,releasedinApril,hassold7.33millionunits,and Splatoon 2, released in July, has sold 4.91 million units, bringing to 8 the total number of million-seller titles for this fiscal year including the titles of other software publishers. The result is that hardware sales during this period totaled 12.13 million units, and software sales volume totaled 47.10 million units."

You're still talking about that tweet weeks ago.
