Wow. I had a hunch that the Switch would outsell the Wii U first year, but I didn’t think it would do it well before February even started. How much is this thing gonna do when the price gets dropped to $200 or so? 25 million per year?
Also, if Odyssey’s doing this well, maybe Pokemon could end up doing Gold and Silver numbers, considering it’s a much bigger seller than 3D Mario.

I think it can. An HD Pokemon with the advertising that Pokemon GO is giving the brand is going to bring in a lot of people who have either never played Pokemon or haven't played it in years/decades. If Pokemon releases this year then the Switch could probably do 30m+ and still have shortages.

Done. Thanks.
Holy moly, Mario Odyssey is a monster. I expected 5-6 million, not 9!
On the other hand, kinda expected for more from Zelda and Splatoon 2, was hoping they'd pass 7 and 5 million respectively.
The real shocker for me though is Xenoblade 2; I thought it would pass a million eventually, but certainly not in its first month!

It's clear now that Xenoblade is Nintendo's Final Fantasy.

These numbers are sell through. 12.17 since April 1st, 14.86 since launch. |
Nope, it clearly says "shipped" and not sold. I know Nintendo fans love to jump on positive news like a starving person would on a steak with salad and fries but the fact is "shipped" and "sold" is not the same thing. Unless it sold everything it shipped but then Nintendo would have said "sold" and not shipped. The numbers are good for the Switch of course but no need to jump the gun.

Sold-through (which is to consumer). I just finished up my research. |

Nah, you had it right the first time. I just needed to be sure. I added the "through" part so people could better understand it vs sold-in (shipped to retailer). |

Okay, so I did my research and apparently CGI-Quality came to the conclusion that the numbers were sold through. I could not, however, verify whether he was a starving nintendo fan jumping on a steak with salad and fries. The results of my research were inconclusive on that front.
