It's one game that could get cheaper down the road+DLC, versus an all-around superior product. I know it goes into the territory of list wars, but if I complied a pros/cons list, I honestly don't see how the slim wins.

...but you are right, not everyone sees it like me

Its got nothing to do with ppl not seeing it like you.

you just dont acknowledge that ppl either dont care about the Pro benefits or because some ppl are only willing to pull the trigger on buying a PS4 at the price of the slim and not that of the pro.

Indeed I don't. It does not make any sense to me whatsoever that people will buy an inferior product with still expensive games at almost no price difference from a product that is simply all around better. One that does not care cannot be convinced, but if they thought long-term instead of "one game DLC", they'd pick Pro, every time.

Not to mention that the Pro is priced at the same price as the PS4 launched. Didn't stop anyone back then.

I am going to buy a PRO soon, and another next year :D

Don't forget spiderman. Another blockbuster.

Well, obviously it is even better to wait a few years, buy the PS4 cheaper after a pricecut and get half the games that are new now in the meantime via PS-Plus and the other half for reduced price. Win-win-win.

I paid $340 for my Pro back in late 2017. It's displayed on one of the best 1080p 55" HDTV's. No regrets except for one. Skyrim runs great on the Pro with a 4K TV, but not so much at 1080p. Resolutionwise, it looks great, but the downsampling from 4k to 1080p is actually taxing on the framerate. So Skyrim on the Pro on a 1080p display looks better than the Slim, but the Slim runs at a stable 30 fps. Other than that, the Pro is one of the best electronic purchases I've made in a while.

A recent survey for all newcomers. if you have to decide: PS4 PRO or PS4? What do you recommend for new PlayStation console-players? Editors of some magazines have already said: Now is the best time to buy a PlayStation 4 (Pro). Every month big NEW games! Sony promised the biggest wave of good games for the year 2018 and the year is already starting to be very strong. The first good sign: Dragon Ball Fighter Z and Monster Hunter World have received the best ratings of all DBZ / MH games worldwide now. And here is a small overview:

January - Dragon Ball Fighter Z (Fighting), Monster Hunter World (RPG-Adventure), Digimon Story II (RPG), The Inpatient (PSVR, Horror), Street Fighter V: Arcade (Fighting),  EA SPORTS UFC 3, Final Fantasy Dissidia (Action)

February - Shadow of the Colossus Remake (Adventure), Dynasty Warriors 9, Secret of Mana

March - Ni No Kuni 2 (JRPG), Yakuza 6 (Action-Adventure), Far Cry 5 (Shooter), Assassin's Creed Rogue (Action-Adventure), Life is Strange Before the Storm (retail)

April - God of War, and many more in the first months.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" and "Detroit Become Human" are coming soon. Many big Exclusives and Multigames. For these reasons, I join the editors of the magazines: The flood of strong games has begun and runs throughout the year. Have fun with the new games! I wish you a nice day :)

Kingdom Come : Deliverance is also coming in February

I forgot that, yes! Thanks for your info :)

Which PS4 games do you buy in the first few months? @all

If it doesn't make sense to you that ppl come from different financial backgrounds and brackets, then maybe you need to step out of your bubble of pretentiousness.

it clearly stopped the ppl who are buying the PS4 now that its cheaper. Who would have thought eh?

"people from different financial backgrounds and brackets"

Big whoop. Can't afford $400? You can't afford $300 with the game prices as they are, then.

Yes, this always baffles me, when people say that 100$ is a big difference, when a single game costs 60$.
