Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Prediction: Nintendo Labo titles will sell 5 million+ units this year.

So yeah, I think this is going to be big.  Not going to go into a whole thing, but I just want to get this on record.  I think that the Labo Titles will be really big.  I also think they'll be, at some point, bundled with the system.

Totally willing to take bets on this.

Around the Network

It will either be huge or it will be a flop of epic proportions. I don't see any other outcome.

It may build some excitement pre-release, but I predict once it has come out hype and interest will drop rapidly.

I am conflicted about this.I really like the idea, but I think it lies a bit too much on the expensive side to sell that much, at the very least in 8 months.
But I could be wrong. The idea is neat after all.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Me too haha XD

I doubt it will be huge, but it may do well during the holidays. 900k is my prediction.

I don't know if that's relevant, but Nintendo Uk seems to have made an event for press, earlier this week, reception seems very positive...

Though I do think that 5 million is a bit too much to expect so quickly.

Bet with PeH:

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

Just for this to be on record, I think it will hinge on how fun each of these experiences will be.If its something that its fun to play once in a while(outside of the initial excitement when building it) or if you get tired after the first or second use.
It will be easier to pass judgemnt once impressions are out.

I feel like it will be the other way around. Mediocre launch, pretty good legs.

So collectively, looking through the threads, it appears we've got no fucking clue how this is gonna turn out...
