9.3?!
I don't get it. What's so great about it? Is it all the fanwankery? Is there a sub-space emissions test that unlocks David Hasselhoff? It's not like it's really a racing game. I mean, it's not really a racing game like Forza or GT, it's just more of the Nintendo "WOW, dem sum brite purtee kulers!" kiddy stuff, right? I mean, how can you take it seriously as a driving game when you control it with a steering wheel?

Awesome post

EDIT: IGN UK has reviewed it: 8.9

GRAPHICS: 9.0
The game has great graphics, with great textures, lightning, it's running at 60 fps with 480p 16:9 with 12 players onscreen (online) and mayhem everywhere. My only (small) complaints are that backgrounds can get a bit blurry at times and some character models are less attractive than they were in Double Dash. I also dislike the onscreen interface, but that's nitpicking at best. The game really looks like a next-gen Mario Kart.

wut?

I played MK Wii the entire day so I thought I'd write a small review for you silly Americans.

Silly Americans, you are sterotyping an entire country. Technically two continents but hey there is freedom of speech.

@Legend11

Your post is gold. Posting screens of Sorbet Land and Ghost Valley 2 just shows how less knowledge you have of Mario Kart games.

You're right, I don't have much knowledge about the Mario Kart games because I haven't played one since the SNES days and even then I only tried a few races.  Well that's not entirely true I did play it a little bit on the N64 as well because my girlfriend at the time liked it.  So the pics I posted were from remade tracks?  Well then please feel free to post pictures from the newer tracks, I look forward to seeing them and being truly impressed.

I thoght that the IGN review for Double dash was really retarded. I haven't read the one for MKWii thought.

Thanks for that review ^^ I want to play it NOW! =(

I have put down about 15 dollars on my preorder... I can't wait for this baby!!!

I have always loved MK, I am glad to here that it "feels" faster, that was my biggest compaint with DD, well besides the steering was too loose.

Question, is the streering tight like SMK and MKDS, or really loose like MK64 and DD?

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

I've been playing it most of the weekend.

The graphics and sound. Meh. They aren't amazing, but there is certainly no problem with them. And who cares? MK is amazing fun. And the Wii version is just great.
The control with the wheel is great, takes a few races to get used to it, but after that, it's just fine.
Online is top. Played with Europe and Japan, no lag at all

U can unlock your Mii as a playable character, even in online. My Mii has access to light car, i don't know if the type of cars u can use depends on the size of your character ^^ that should be fun to know

Online multiplayer is awesome, with no lag at all. Very fun and addictive. I really don't like the thunder item. Mini motos are a good alternative to the karts.

At OP. MK has always been a AAA title. Since the original. I dont know where you got that info from. But growing up with Nintendo it was always the game of choice on weekends.
