Instead of getting frustrated, why not take the time to appreciate whats there, and try play the game a little differently when redoing a mission. There's a lot of ways to get through a level. You should only feel frustrated when going for platinum trophy and once the game is OVER. Atleast keep going to u get to the ending..

You haven't experienced true frustration in a game yet, amateur.

are you one of those gamers that plays through a level once then throws the game away?

I couldn't finish it. The only Metal Gear released since like 1987 that I haven't finished. I even liked Snake's Revenge on the NES (which was actually great despite the bad rep it got).

Started it last month but haven't touched it since have other stuff I want to finish first.

I haven't played the first 2D ones, got through most of Ghost Babel (The Gameboy Colour game).  Metal Gear Solid 4 is honestly my most favourite game ever.  I consider Metal Gear Solid 2 the greatest game ever made (Seriously read the essay some guy has on it explaining the true mind fuck that it was).  Metal Gear Solid 1 is a game I can just put in and replay over and over again.  Metal Gear Solid 3 made me cry.  This however?  I was done with the game once I got to Africa.  The amount of padding and uselessness in this game is beyond annoying.  Which is a shame considering how right Peace Walker was with, this boggles my mind.

Nope. You gotta do that in order to unlock more story missions. xD

Fuck that shit. I deleted it already. And I'm considering my self that I completed this.

Metal gear solid 5 did provide with some of the most frustrating apsects if gaming for me this gen. Despite being a fantastic game at times, it, for some reason, insists on being a pain in my ass at others.

Look up the story cutscenes on YouTube. Because you've pretty much missed the main part of the story

This is same shit that made me stop. I'm around where you are and I want to go back and finish it but these recycled missions are pissing me off.

the thing is they have these frustrating conditions. if you get caught you have to repeat the entire mission in some. which is frustrating when you want to progress. ive done two, but patients isnt my strong point when it comes to gaming. i deleted MGSV and reinstalled battlefield 1 and started playing it again, i even started its story missions and holly fuck where they fun. MGSV took me A LONG time, and the past few weeks i was just wishing it would be over. it has so much filler and frustrating moments, its just not fun after a long period of time

I was referencing you saying that you "NEED" to do repeated missions. wich is just not true.

Everything else was your opinion, I wont touch that.

And yeah as I said there are some people, or alot of people that did not like it. But that does not change the fact that from looking at critics from players (not magazines or blogs) its overwhelmingly positive. Which is, a fact.

how do i progress then without doing the repeated missions?

I made it to mission 7 or maybe 8 and then stopped. No real desire to return (other than Quiet)
I feel like open world doesn't help this game at all.
