In terms of raw specs, High End PCs in 2005 are comparable to Switch as far as I know. Nintendo traded specs for portability/accessibility, they understandably can't have both.

And nice try, but this isn't how exclusives work. Sounds like you're getting desperate.

Weren't High End PC's just under Xbox 360/PS3 in raw specs though in 2005 ?

In 2005 they were slightly above 360 but either way it's still not even comparable to Switch as non of the tech back then would be running the games now at the fidelity we see, I don't know what PCs he's talking about tbh as it wasn't until around 2007 when tech arrived that blew 360 away that high end tech is what was used to show case Crysis and wasn't viable at the time and is comparable to PS4 and X1 base models now.

Lol that is awesome

Pocky Lover Boy!

Yes third parties would be stupid to not develop for both platforms, unless they use the ps4's full capacity (something that japanese devs don't usually do) or use exclusive features (dual motion/HD rumble for switch, analog triggers for ps4).
However I would not be surprized if devs switch from making ps4 games and downscaling to switch, to developing switch version first then porting to ps4.

Didnt the xbox 360 release in 2005 though so surely high end PCs were above 360?

360 actually used higher end tech at the time this is why the HD jump was the biggest power jump so far for console and why both MS and Sony lost a tonne of money per unit sold, high end PCs at the time were only slightly above 360 it wasn't until around 2007 that tech came along that completely left both 360 and PS3 in the shadows.

While that's often true, there's usually a soft limit to how far sales stay relevant in this context (as we've seen with the PS4 and X1). I wouldn't be surprised if the Switch does get more support in some capacity (at minimum more sales do lead to a better position to make deals), but i expect the difference to be considerably smaller than it has been in previous generations. Few Japanese PS4/Vita titles make use of tech high end enough to cause significant porting problems to the Switch, and many 3DS developers are about to be pushed into HD development. Combine that with the the Switch's inevitable domestic strength, and the PS4's existing global (and decent domestic) reach, a developer would need a good reason to not support both by default. I think even the X1 will see an uptick in Japanese support over the next few years.

- Travis Strikes back: No More Heroes

- Bayonetta 1 + 2 Collection

- Bayonetta 3

- Shin Megami Tensei V

- Project Octopath Traveler

These are all exclusive to the Nintendo Switch so far.

Sony also lost exclusivity with:

- Dragon Quest XI (home console version)

- Dragon Quest Heroes 1 & 2

- Dragon Quest Builders 1 & 2

- Valkyria Chronicles 4 (never before on a Nintendo console)

Nintendo lost exclusivity with:

- Monster Hunter World (and that's more due to Capcom's stupidity than anything else)

As the Switch userbase continues to grow, Nintendo will receive more exclusives and games that used to be exclusive to Playstation. This will not end well for the Playstation in Japan.

So far, Bandai Namco and Capcom are the only two major Japanese companies who seem to still not understand that the Switch is here to stay. Their loss I suppose.

Which of those Switch exclusives used to be PS4 exclusive?

If anything, all those Dragon Quest games is a gain for Sony, not a loss. Do you know where all the Dragon Quest support was before? On the 3DS and the DS before that again. We have to go further back to the PS2 days to find Dragon Quest on a Sony console. So Dragon Quest indeed just further illustrates the point Zekkyou is making - there is increasingly less reason for Japanese developers to limit themselves to one console.
