Xenoblade. Play Skyrim through other means if possible.

I have both... logged about 15hrs in Skyrim before Xeno2 came out. Will return to Skyrim afterwards. Both are great games. I've just played way more Skyrim over the years already.

Update: I have bought both games.

I got Xenoblade first......and i just cant get into it. I absolutely loved Xenoblade X and put like 70-80 hours into it but i just havent found 2 to be nearly as fun, i got about 15 hours in and kinda felt like i was forcing myself to keep playing.

I decided to get Skyrim a few weeks later, im about 35 hours in and i cant put it down, its gotten to the point where my wife says she wishes i never got the game lol

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

15 hours is not even touching the surface of XBC2 the game doesn't take off until half way through chapter 3 because it walks players through the mechanics before leaving them to their fate for the remaining hundred+ hours

Thats all good and dandy but its pretty unrealistic to expect someone to play over 15 of a game before they start enjoying it.

The game goes on for over 100 hours after C3, that 15 you spend learning is not even a blink compared to whats coming, the depth in the game is so high it has to spend the first 3 chapters making you aware of what you can do it's geared for players who are in it for a long game. If you're not pass chapter 3 you've not started the game at all.

Im well aware its a long ass game but still 15-20 hours before the "real game" starts is excessive.

Xenoblade X, Breath of the Wild & Skyrim are a couple of games in the last few years that i have or am on track to putting 70+ hours in and it didnt take anywhere near 15 hours for me to be engrossed in them.

I just double checked to see where i left off since i havent played for a few weeks, i was actually midway through chapter 3 so ill take your word for it and try playing again once im done with Skyrim.

That's not good game design if it requires 15 hours to get people engrossed.

Never said it was but then they had little choice with the amount the is in the game to teach the player, in XBX people complained the was too much to try and figure out with out the game telling you anything so here they took the opposite approach. What I can say for XBC2 is that it starts slow then ramps up very well in the long run where as Skyrim I found starts off quick but in the long run loses quite a bit of steam.

I am surprised that someone prefers Xenoblade X over Xenoblade 2. That is kinda rare. Also, Xenoblade X plays nothing like Xenoblade 2. Xenoblade X is much closer to a Skyrim than Xenoblade 2. So I can see why Zorg prefers Skyrim.

I prefer Xenoblade 2 but I still put 100+ hours on Skyrim. I think both are worth a purchase if you like JRPGs and WRPGs.
