PS4 might go down a bit in the hourlies starting tomorrow at around 4PM local time. GameStop's PS4 + $50 Gift Card for $199 comes online then, I'd assume people will start buying at GameStop instead of Amazon because of that. The PS4Pro will probably drop as well because GameStop will have it for $349.

But if the PS4 can hold its #1 position while that GameStop deal is coming on that'd be absolutely insane.

Probably will also drop because it seems PS4 is either out of stock on Amazon - or the price got increased again to 249$

Speaking of Stock, Neon Switch is out of stock (again!) and the gray Switch ships when available (what does that even mean? Is it out of stock but new stock coming in soon or what?)

I think MS will be #1 thanks to the launch of the Xbox One X, it sold 80k first week in UK, it can easily reach 500k in the launch month (US). Sony is going to be # 2 with a good black friday.

Otherwise PS4 is sold out on Amazon.

I think if x does 500k that would be crazy. I'm thinking around 400. But I get the feeling it won't be enough.

if s does 800k, x does 500 and 1.3 million combined I still think PS4 has a good shot to win. I also think 1.3 is the limit that Xbox could do. I'm think it will do more like 1-1.15 million total S did 1 million last year with better and more diverse bundles. They where riding gears 4 and fh3 launch. And they had at least evenly matched BF deals with Sony unlike this year. And we have to assume that the x will eat into the s's sales at least a little. Taking all that into consideration I see the S doing 650-775k. X is harder to guess. But I'm going with 350-450k for that.

Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

Why would it?! If a 199,- BF bundle can’t do that, why would a 189,- single console do that, when it’s essentially a worse deal?!

I mean, I thought about that and you are right but its the only path forward even if the chance is really Slim (no pun intended).  What I am noticing is that PSVR is selling really well and the reason for that is that you don't need a Pro to use it.  In other words, there is still a lot of value in the standard PS4.  This doesn't translate to the Xbox One S.  Its almost like in order to sell the Xbox One X, they had to destroy the image of the S.   Its been $199 longer than the PS4... so what happened here?

You’re right, they essentially heavily devalued the X1S a year ago at release already, by making the X1X that much more powerful. It makes the S look like a really bad deal which was the reason PS4 kept outselling it by basically 3:1 for the whole year. Now that the One X is released games on X1 look really bad in comparison. The gap between PS4 and Pro is small enough to not embarrass the base system buyers, both early and new customers. Sony was wise by going that route imho.

That way they keep the PS4 slim interesting while still creating a possible market for people, who might later on still upgrade to a PS4Pro, be it for VR or 4K down the line. I fully expect Sony to focus their marketing and price drops on the Pro, next year around Black Friday.

And they have the 4K Blu Ray player? Is that not an incentive?

I don’t think UHD Blu-Rays are a big factor outside of film aficionados. They are just too expensive, not very commonly available and a lot of the content is only upscaled 1080p content anyway at the moment.

It was fun while it lasted. The Switch is in stock while the PS4 is sold out so it should close the gap.

I'm still not sure Amazon's algorithm works the way you might think it does...

shame it's gone out of stock now. It's meant to run for five more days I believe, so it should surely get at least one sizeable restock in time

This has been one hell of a ride ladies and gents. I was hoping to see a showdown between Switch, PS4 and the $189 Xbox One S. But for now, our saga has come to a close.

Welp, it looks like the Switch's stock is what's killing it.

This guy...clever.

I can assure you if there is some kind of clever joke in there, it wasn't intended. "killing it" is funny because it can be interpreted two different ways. But when I had looked it WAS the stock of the Switch that was out and PS4 was in stock

Don't forget the Xbox One S was at $249 bundle + 1 free game for the first 3 weeks during the release of COD. That + the good launch of the Xbox One X should allow them to have a comfortable lead before Black Friday week. On the other hand it will be interesting to see the sales of the Xbox One X in the coming months, it's out of top 100 on amazon UK, Italy, France and Germany. US market is clearly the best for the X.

I wonder how many PS4's Amazon has actually sold. You would think Sony would be putting out around 1.7ish million into stores, and more in channels to at least be ready for cyber Monday. I see talk that Amazon accounts for 10% of sales usually.

Does this mean Amazon have offloaded 150+k already. Or I'm questioning their ability to take enough into stock, and I'm betting they will account for 5% in reality for November and no doubt December too. It seems a common issue for Amazon all gen. It makes them harder to use as a tool, especially knowing the shops still have a good stock till Friday at least.
