Forums - Nintendo - EA is not committed to Switch, they don't understand the Switch market yet.

What is with these guys? They are so clueless. They were way late on the NES train and weren't really much of a presence on the Wii either. Are they opposed to money or something?

Don't understand the market? What kind of a dumbass excuse is that? They're gamers. They aren't from Mars.. Just make/publish quality freaking games. I think don't think we can resort to "teh cazualz!" excuse any longer based on the Switch's library, and the console is obviously poised to have a very large and diverse userbase, so chances are you'll get some sales regardless of WHAT you make.. I suppose I shouldn't expect such a souless corporate entity in gaming to understand a company like Nintendo and its base though.

Somehow the title make it sounds more dramatic. Just like Capcom, they are conservative. If they find success on the console, more games will come. If not, then no games.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

They are like the Lannisters of the gaming community. Indifferent, powerhouse of the industry, just jump on the bandwagon only when it's absolutely 100% clear they're on the winning side hehe

The only EA game I would likely have purchased, would have been that Star Wars game Visceral Studios was working on, and a future Dead Space title.
Does EA actually have any good studios left? I mean the only studios I can think of that are good are essentially stuck in a comatose status. They are on life support and at any moment EA will pull the plug.
I truly hate EA, and I hate the fact that somehow, despite their shady business practices, they somehow manage to remain relevant.

As much as people don't like EA it does make sense what they are doing but also Nintendo should be trying to get their support. Other companies seeing EA sitting on the side line might sit back as well.

EA is waiting until the Online component is robust enough to support all that microtransactions and DLC

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

EA, here it is, take note:

The Switch market is all about quality.

Quality content and good, preferably some innovative gameplay.

If you're gonna commit do it in style or don't bother.

FIFA on Switch is a quality game.

I just don't think there is much market left for the types of games EA makes (primarily sports games) because Sony and MS have cornered that market.

There's no part of that userbase left for Nintendo. Sony includes NBA 2K in their major marketing, they even spend huge dollars to get the Playstation logo/symbols on the home floor of the Golden State Warriors. FIFA is obviously also huge to Sony/MS.

Nintendo hasn't really made any efforts with sports gamers and they basically aren't thought of as a valid option for those types of games by that audience. Maybe that can change, but Nintendo themselves has to help out moreso I think. Hate to say it but Iwata was really poor on sports games and got them out of making sports titles so Nintendo's had not much of a foothold there for so long.

I hate EA so much. I can't stop repeating it.

No EA games is not a big deal to me. EA simply has a different business strategy, they want to push their games as a service bullshit, I hate this approach. They don't even have appealing games for me anyway.

The last two statements on your sig seem contradictory.

How so?

That's not how it works though.
