Already jumping in their online service? I first have to see how they lay it out.
And just like the Wii U no one cares
(jk i love Wii U, hope they bring miiverse to switch)
Archive.org is a site that archives the web, but the snapshots are kinda random. But parts of Miiverse might be still accessible through it. Without working search it might be hard to find something specific though.
The links for the communities of the Art Academies and Youtube (which contains a lot of drawings):

Nice catch and drawings! We still have to see what will happen to the files. Maybe Miiverse can still be accessible but you just can't post in it. Or the files linked in your Art thread will continue to work until they shut down the server.

I wouldn't call it jumping in, I have simply no choice if I want to play half my favorite games.

There is always a choice.
Wonder how Nintendo would react if there was a massive drop in Splatoon players.

There isn't actually, both in general and in this specific instance. I want to play Splatoon/Mario Kart/ARMS/Pokemon/Smash/etc. online, but the only way to play is to pay. I don't see where the choice is here.
There wasn't a massive drop when Sony implemented this nickel n diming scheme so it'll for sure be the same with Nintendo, I mean everyone already knows paid online is coming yet Switch sells like hotcakes.
And just like that it is gone!

I skipped Splatoon 2 mainly due to the online... but thinking about it I could have played all these months online for free. Guess I didn't feel that compelled to play it, just like replaying MK8 in MK8D.
But I guess you are right, people complain about the for-pay online, but the majority will line up to pay whenever it starts.

Ugh, you again make it sound like we're eager to pay. =/
OT: I actually stopped playing Odyssey just to witness the last few hours... to say a couple last goodbyes of course, that's totally the reason!
