They were back in the day, i dont undertand your point.

If Nintendo were to create a game with UC2/3 graphics it won't be considered state of the art today. Your post was that Nintendo should make games that look like UC2 or 3 because it's them making a game with state of the art graphics.

MY ORIGINAL POST

"Why would someone be against Nintendo making a game with state of the art graphics?

That would be cool.

Nintendo games look great most of the times, but i think as a developer, they are specialist in gameplay, not so much in graphics."

TIMES I MENTIONED UC2 OR 3:

I love Uncharted 1 and 2. I keep coming back to play them. 3 and 4 are crap.

Alright my mistake. I thought you were referring to UC2/3 as state of the art graphics since you posted in a thread that has to do with UC2/3.

It doesn't take a 4K PC for that

and the Switch art style is hardly "unique", because every Nintendo game does it. That's as stupid as saying that Activision has made their point clear, that they strive for unique photorealism in every Cod game.

I was not expecting you to write something so poorly thought out considering how often you take issue with other people's argumentation.

short answear: they cant.
long answear: their better at a easier to do cartoon look, that appeals to their core.

And yet, you don't provide any counter arguments!

If you're going to say Breath of the Wild, then yes, that is the exception. Since we don't see many games with that art style.

If you're going  to say that photorealism is more common than cartoony art styles, then i'd argue the latter is only growing with time in popularity.

It's seriously getting tiring having you make comments like you have a checkboard next to you of "gotcha moments!" . It's almost like your presence on this forum is just to belittle people's arguments

Especially since people can make stupid argument somtimes. That's fine. You can't realize how stupid an argument is until someone explains to you why it's stupid, unless you already believe it to be stupid. The problem with certain people(lol) is that all his arguments are as such, stupid.

I at least tried to give him a half-serious answer, even though this thread is ridiculous in the first place, and he came straight out insulting me.

Don't know why you'd bother with someone like this.

How did I insult you? "Don't know why you bother with someone like this" is way more insulting than anything I said

You guys are so annoying. You literaly consider a thread saying that it would be cool for a realistic art style in a nintendo game, as "ridiculous in the first place!" Nice to know where the community stands.

Seriously, this thread was meant to be innocent. Wow ...

Seeing as how you brought up Breath of the Wild on your own, you probably already know what the issue is.

You said, in literal terms, that every Nintendo game on Switch has the same art style, to the point of being like Call of Duty.

Do you really believe that? I've seen plenty of people who say that all photorealistic games look the same, but this might be the first time I've seen someone say that all cartoony games look the same.

Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2, and Super Mario Odyssey all look quite different from one another, just like how Horizon Zero Dawn, Doom, and Uncharted all have distinct looks. Nobody can look at any of these games and mistake it for another cartoony/realistic game.

You don't have to assert that all Nintendo games look the same just to make an argument that they should branch out and make something photorealistic.

Your right. That was a bad argument on my part and I don't really believe it. I'm sorry.
