No SPA, Monza or European city circuits are you for real PD.

Well, maybe the lasers doesn't work over there =[

Whoops Dutch English over there I meant no SPA, Monza or European city tracks. That's a huge bummer for me since I loved those in GT5 (with DLC).

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

In a game focused on competition, there really won't be that many cars that are actually used.  In past GT games, I'd bet that only a handful of cars saw extended racing.  The overwhelming majority probably entered one race at the most and then got shelved or sold.  I can't help but wonder if they have statistics for that.

Hundreds of cars just means a lot of superfluous content.  Past a certain point, the developers are spending resources on cars that only "collectors" will care about.

That was my experience playing gt5 online for 6 months. Apart from some joke races, it was always the same selection of cars being used in the different performance groups. GT Sport has less disciplines than GT5 so I imagine the regularly used car roster will be even smaller.

It's a shame though that the vocal minority won in shunning the 'standard' cars. It never hurt to have all the old car models in their as well for collection purposes or for fun to race a souped up 70's Fiat Panda. Yet apparently a lot of people couldn't look past the fact that you never had to use them if they were so offensive. Heck use the old models in VR races instead of limiting it to one opponent.

Me neither... there is no drawback and you aren't mandated to play most of the standard cars, besides they weren't as ugly as people say.

And what about driving the Citröen 2CV and never being able to finish the climb of one of the tracks?

I understood you, I was making fun of they not scanning them for GTS because the lasers broke down (besides the fact that Germany is trying to ban some high power lasers because of flight safety).

So you accuse me of of Sony downplaying.......for criticizing one of their games? Just one? Really? You're really stretching it. Infact, I agree with most people here, that PS4 is a great console, and their focus on games games games has paid off this gen, and devservedly so. I don't own one myself, but I've finished Horizon Zero Dawn and drive club  and a few other games, and they're awesome.

you know what, the guy who left this site was right. Too much PS bias here now. I'm accused of Sony downplaying for calling out the car sounds of a GT game. I don't know about the wrong crowd, but I'm certainly not joining your "right" crowd

are you drunk and/or high? how could someone's mental process be so detached from reality that such a statement is uttered? am i the only one who sees that the nintendo fans clearly outnumber playstation fans (and of course xbox fans) by a ridiculous amount?

also, why are non playstation dudes so afraid of the evil sony fans? even on neogaf you'll see the same shit being said. perhaps the salt directed towards sony and their domination of the industry is now being used to combat playstation fans

This is a rather mild post for a ban.

This thread sucked me into watching Youtube videos of GT sport last night and now I can't stop thinking about it, just bought PC2 2 weeks ago and have only spent four or five hours with it so far. Pretty sure now I'm going to have to skip my new wheel til 201 and buy this, it looks insanely good. I just hope those tracks aren't as flat as they seem.

It's to show how flat is your accelerating pedal.

Haha that was so funny, need a push please! I remember that hill well, uhm help please I'm going backwards! Eiger Nordwand was the track.

Karting on the Nordschleife was also epic, deadly bumps in the road in the second half.

I agree.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

This game's marketing has been bad. I honestly have no idea what I'm looking it.. Is it supposed to be a mainline entry that gradually evolves like Splatoon and Street Fighter V? Or is it a spin-off?

Sony, and PD fans, are in for a huge disappointment if they expect this to sell that well. 4 whole years for an incomplete mess is sad imo after the underperformance of GT6. I'd rather have them delay it 12-18 months, release it at a more complete stage, and rename it to Gran Turismo 7.

I'm curious, how do you think this game is going to sell lifetime?

I don't remember the karting parts...

But I would say GT5 was the GT I put more time into and got most proficient at. I dunno if it got easier, I practiced more, had more life experience or total simulation accumulated. But was the first GT I got more than one gold on the S license (actually got all but one gold on S... but couldn't beat even bronze on the Vettel challenge)

The 2CV was actually one of a handful of standard cars that got somewhat of visually upgraded from GT5 to GT6.  But most of the standard cars are actually pretty ugly especially if you zoom in on them while pausing the replay.

I just needed to rewatch this. Dedication.
