I hate that they just assume every time a cop shoots a black person the cop must be racist. Firstly, the statistics suggest that cops are more hesitant to shoot black people because of the backlash. Secondly: stop dividing people based on the colour of their skin! That's fucking racism right there, so I think the cops are right to call BLM a racist hate movement.

If they act like rabid animals: call them out on it. I don't think there is any racial connotation there.

A cop shooting someone in the back though? That cop needs to be stood down (at least) until it's investigated properly. It's pretty hard to shoot someone in the back in self defence. But unless you can prove racism, it's not racially motivated.

I think that bringing it up is generally unproductive, as it tends to add to the tensions. Like, if you believe that police shootings is a problem for your community/people, just campaign agains police violence in general. No need to formulate you message in a way that it excludes people of other ethicities affected by the same problem.

State your demands as: people should have a right to (x), instead of MY people should have a right to (x).

I don't get how someone riding an illegal dirtbike leads to a pat down. Impound/walk the bike home and issue fine, what's the justification for searching the guy?.

What point is it that you are reffering to? Sarcasm is sometimes easily overlooked when you have no premise on who the author is and what he stands for. I don't know him or her, but I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt since he/she provided an explanation to my response.

I don't post to fill my ego, I posted because social behavior is fickle, if remarks that promote/condone discrimination are not tackled, they send the wrong message. I understand there are people who do not like liberals or progressives, but I'm sure all people would agree that no one likes when other people mess with your civil rights.
