Mayweather made a minium of $350 million. Could imagine making that much money in less than 30 minutes.

His work for this fight didn't only start the moment he put his feet on the ring.

Still too much money for what it is.

Let's assume someone starts working at 25 and does a 9-5 job Monday-Friday until they are 65. We'll also assume they make about $18 an hour after tax.

That's 8 hours a day, or 40 a week.

Said person would work 2080 hours a year, assuming they never call off sick, take a vacation, and always come to work/leave on time.

If they work for forty years, they would work for about 83,200 hours. Multiply said hours with the salary above and they'll make approximately 1.5 million in their lifetime.

Mayweather got that much money from this fight. If someone simply wanted to gain that much money over a typical career span in a 9-5 career, they'd have to make over four thousand dollars an hour

Does this prove that an office worker should make 350 million? No, it isn't meant to make a statement. Just some interesting math.

No matter what anyone says, that was a damn impressive performance by Conor, he took it to one of the greatest boxers of all time in his first professional fight. He did much, much better than I expected, and looked quite good. I'm glad that Mayweather decided to fight more aggressively this time, though his performance wasn't exactly wonderful. Still, the fight was actually entertaining, far better than that Pacquaio-Mayweather debacle.

I was hoping that conor would win but oh well. He lasted 10 rounds against one of the best boxing champs so I'm happy with that. I'm sure that mayweather realizes that he wouldn't survive 1 round in MMA.

Anyone who thought connor was going to beat Floyd based on skill is kind of loopy, but everyone has a punchers chance. Connor won in the end because hes now in a higher paygrade than anyone in the UFC. Watch ...because hes now going to be the most arrogant guy in the UFC. When he talks about money, you cant tell him hes wrong.

Yeah, but Rousey actually got thumped in a fight that she was heavily, heavily favored to win. Conor went ten rounds with a boxing great in his first pro fight and never actually left his feet. I understand the internet will internet, but this showing wasn't embarassing in the slightest for McGregor. Ah well, anything for a meme, right?

She lost because she tried to box in that fight instead of her usual judo, as for CM it wasn't a bad showing but Mayweather never seemed troubled at the same time he basically schooled CM on boxing and the latter was about to drop when the ref stepped in. After the trash talk CM was throwing out about ruling boxing only one thing was going to happen when gets schooled and KOed by a 40 year old.

He went 10 rounds mainly because Mayweather's style goes for the long haul he knew he was always going to win if it went long, had CM fought someone like Canelo or Golovkin the fight would had ended even quicker especially as the myth of CM's punching power got dispelled fast.

You're right that he won in the end but not for those reasons. An amatuer boxer lasted 10 rounds with one of the best boxing champs there was and wasn't knocked on his ass. He actually did fairly well. He's main problems were stamina and he seemed to have trouble staying within the rules of boxing.

Conor was already the highest pain UFC fighter by far before there was even whispers of a conor vs floyd fight and he was already arrogant but in a very entertaining way. He's the perfect role model for any MMA fighter who wants to get paid alot.

Yes, but thats an amatuer boxer. The conditioning is still more similar so it still stands to reason. Everything else is based on skill. MMA training is tough, but the cardiovascular condition is nowhere near boxing. ;)

Connor wanted more than what the UFC offers and Dana knew he couldnt hold his ego back (can't beat him, then join him in getting a cut of the perhaps, billion dollar gravy train). Fighting floyd in one match made him more than his entire MMA career. Hes smart...but not a role model. You have to get into the superstar level to cross over and he took everyones money. Floyd made more (as usual), but it doesnt Connor is now in the 100 million club.
