So give me your points of substance on why it is unacceptable that people of less skill get a lower difficult where they can fell challenged but not "forbidden" to play.

No. I already gave my piece to someone else on this thread. At this point it's clear that you don't care about an actual discussion and would rather get on a high horse. Stating things I never said... looking at difficulty as a mere gateway to the game when it's so much more than that. To be clear, the whole "allowing players to feel difficulty while not feeling 'forbidden to play'" argument is dumb, since the entire Souls discussion was about people like Vivister thinking a no challenge story mode should be in Souls. I dont mind it being in Horizon, in Souls it would be awful. To be clear I think you are a great user, this isn't an attack on you. But I guess this is just a scenario where we will never agree.

Well, I do agree that for a game that have no story and the fun is only on the combat there is no point in a 0 challenge difficult. But there is a big room between what they have now and having easier modes that fell challenging to non Soul players.

I liked Ninja Gaiden Black's easier difficulty.

That's all I have to say on the matter.

I'm 37 years old... I dont have time  anymore to "get gud" wich have stopped me from buying so many games

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Well I'm 41 and don't have time to play all games in any case, sooo ... I choose the ones I do like.

Accepting that different people have different preferences and therefore games should exist to cater to different preferences and not only to serve the mainstream. I tried and found so many mainstream games boring: Tomb Raider, GTA, Splinter Cell, ... But I like other games. If games that cater to different tastes are made, it might be possible not everyone likes every game. That I can accept.

It's not that it's too hard, it's about time saving.

If you don't have time to play a Souls game (or any game), play something else or watch a let's play. It isn't incumbent for any dev to make sure you can play their games.

Clearly, I'm very much against adding difficulty modes to games that shouldn't have them - especially Souls games.

Indeed indeed.

I wish all games had multiple difficulty tiers. I'd be much more likely to try stuff like Souls and Bloodborne if they had a "story mode".

Just the word of mouth about their difficulty kept me from playing those games. It's a shame because I hear they're really good. Maybe even because of the challenge. I just can't invest in the frustration nowadays.

Pay me to play em and I'll put them on youtube for you to "watch/experience, with a bonus split screen of me looking cool and in control one minute then the next minute  banging my head against the wall. ps the payments for my headache tablets.
