What's sad is those sticking up for Sony on this is exactly why they wont support it. How can a company listen and Improve when most of there internet warriors say "I want Sony to be safe, forget the customers" comments..

Yes they do. Your apologetic perspective doesn't sit with me. Sony deserves the criticism in this aspect, period.
They aren't going to send you flowers and cake for buying their product. - Brand loyalty is garbage, so feel free to cut it out and be a little more objective.

Microsoft did a massive amount of great things last generation and turned the industry on it's head, then they did allot of bullshit things with the Xbox One and deserved the criticism they got.
But don't be under any illusions that Sony is perfect, they have been anti-consumer in the past and downright negligent.

When "Constructive Criticism" is seen as a "bad" thing and shunned... Then companies become complacent.

Microsoft has done a ton of listening, they have done the best they could with a bad situation to turn the Lemon of an Xbox One into something usable and gamer friendly.
And Sony had to do the same thing with the Lemon of a Playstation 3 when that launched.

Minecraft is developed by Microsoft so when they start doing this people will punish Microsoft more then Sony. Bad idea. if Nintendo and Microsoft work togheter on other titles, like rocket leaque, exclusive vehicles and other stuff could work.

But again I think gamers should not be punished for sony's mistake.

They dont want to give Microsoft any benefits. Consoles are not PC. They uphold their identtity and like to keep people 100% in their ecosystem. The same reason Microsoft did it last gen. Microsoft was more aggessive that gen and thats the only reason they sustained a lead. They played every card before Sony caught up.

Microsoft didn't want to do it last gen when they had a vibrant online ecosysten. Google and Apple didn't swoop in and save Windows Phone. I could give many more examples. There is absolutely no reason for Sony to reach out to help the Xbox brand. It is nothing personal, it's business. You don't give your competition access to resources, and you don't try to help rebuild the competition when you are ahead.

Because it's the ARK devs at fault here. They went the wrong direction in making multi-platform happen.

I know of a game that allows multi-platform already. It's Trials Fusion, and it shares tracks between PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.

They're workarounds in doing this. Hosting private servers is big must, so as to not log in on the competitions home turf while also not making strain on themselves with hosting on their own servers in doing this.

Hiding who is playing on what systems, otherwise it is advertisement and neither Xbox or PlayStation do advertisements anywhere about the other console.

They need to follow PlayStations rules to doing this first. They have the biggest player base with these consoles at play here. They really have nothing to loose right now by not allowing it.

I wonder if this is ARK either not knowing any better, straight up lazy route making excuses, or being bitter and trying to cause conflict?
