Yes they do. Your apologetic perspective doesn't sit with me. Sony deserves the criticism in this aspect, period.
They aren't going to send you flowers and cake for buying their product. - Brand loyalty is garbage, so feel free to cut it out and be a little more objective.

Microsoft did a massive amount of great things last generation and turned the industry on it's head, then they did allot of bullshit things with the Xbox One and deserved the criticism they got.
But don't be under any illusions that Sony is perfect, they have been anti-consumer in the past and downright negligent.

This is exactly it.

When "Constructive Criticism" is seen as a "bad" thing and shunned... Then companies become complacent.

Microsoft has done a ton of listening, they have done the best they could with a bad situation to turn the Lemon of an Xbox One into something usable and gamer friendly.
And Sony had to do the same thing with the Lemon of a Playstation 3 when that launched.
