I don't have one yet... waiting on this whole dualshock 3 thing to settle down... or a deal of somesort 10% off would convince me.

But I plan on buying one 90% for Blu-ray... I am getting a few games but its not the reason im buying a PS3 at all. Mainly I am getting a PS3 instead of just a Blue-ray player is because my old roomate is begging me too.

Only games im excited about are:
Hot shots golf, pixel junk monster, calling all cars, and ratchet and clank.

Last gen... i didn't even buy 1 console... this gen I will own all three... lol

Blu-ray, Final Fantasy, and Metal Gear Solid. I have it for both.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Honestly at first I bought it to play a PS2 game and didn't want the lag my PS2 made when I played it online, then I bought a few games for it.

FolkLore, WarHawk(Head Set), Call of Duty 4, Motor Storm(Came with it), Unreal3, Heavenly Sword, and something else.

Now since I quit that PS2 game online I use it for random Ps2 rpgs (Rouge Galaxy) and as a Dvd player, (I recently got into buying movies.) Gaming wise it gives me laughs but dies fast >.> Just tired of it now, but movies only last 2 hours and give something too so yea Dvd player. I don't buy Blu-Ray movies yet.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

I take it you're joking.

Otherwise some insanely incorrect guesswork is going on.

Take a look at the attach rate CaptainPreferences. If 40% of customers are buying a PS3 as a blu-ray player, and don't intend to buy games for the machine why are software sales so healthy?

Are the hardcore crowd actually buying that many games?

If Madskillz is correct however, in Europe alone, 1.6 million PS3's have been purchased as Blu-ray players. Which means GT5P had a 15% attach rate to the PS3 in 2 days worth of sales.

Holy Sweet Jesus!

Those are all fine games. HSG is great, so is Ratchet. Do yourself a favor and at the very least rent Uncharted (and Heavenly Sword).

I have 14 games, about 5 downloaded games, and 11 BDs (including free Casino Royale)
I don't have an HDTV yet where my PS3 is, but I do have one downstairs for watching the blu-rays

Originally I got it for both, but I haven't been too impressed with PS3 games so far, so now it's pretty much a Blue-ray player.
