I’m curious to see how Nintendo’s planning to deal with Smash Bros moving forward. With Sakurai having been focused on Kirby Air Riders as of recent, I’d imagine that must mean the next entry is going to either an entirely new studio, or is going on hiatus. (Which, yeah, >30mil on NSW for SSBUltimate is insane success…but Metroid was massive on SNES, and Zelda skipped Wii U (kinda). Nintendo is not shy on pressing the “hiatus” button w/ their major franchises.)

I just want a upgrade pack with DLC and new modes/new story

And do a MK8 Deluxe booster pack like expansion.

Ultimate is so big I think they can only go in two directions, either just re-release ultimate with more content or take the series in a big new direction.

It's a similar issue to MK8 they had to solve. That game with DLC has 96 tracks. Could they really just release a new MK with 32 again? Trying to make a brand new mario kart with as much content as MK8 Deluxe would be far too much work. So they had to make a change to the series which for MK was the openworld.

So either we'll get ultimate+ or there'll be a big shakeup to the smash formula imo.

The only way you can really follow up Ultimate is you have to do what SF did and just go the Third Strike route where the new installment is mechanically a reboot, I don't think you can follow up Ultimate going the same path because that approach is at its peak with it, they're going to have to SFIII the next game.

Yeah, trying to one-up Ultimate in size would be unsustainable, and a simple upgrade of the existing game would be underwhelming and lack system selling power.

Reboot the series entirely I reckon.

Then hopefully most of the tracks in Mario Kart World are new.

Very likely will

They had to change the formula for MK because MK8 was released in two gens in a row.

I just noticed this music from F-Zero GX sounds like the opening to Mighty Morphin Power Rangers:

Smash Ultimate Switch 2 ed. will definitely up to $80 (no Switch 1 dlc included)

And make sure no non-gaming characters get added to the roster. Next person who asks for Goku in Smash will get a.....surprise.

There are no non-gaming characters in any of the games.

Also I would love if Goku was in a Smash bros game.
