So who exactly was it made for? I mean Switch 1 already has code in box on physical releases. What does this do for anyone?

Are you confused?

We had a whole generation of Switch and you could see which publishers shipped nothing but a code in a box. That was never Nintendo themselves. The game-key cards are only here to replace those codes, so it actually gives people more physical ownership.

Yes. Anti-consumer stuff confuse me...

Creating a product to give people more ownership and choice rather than a digital code is anti-consumer?

Which ones specifically?

I know that Bravely Default does that. I also think Street Fighter 6 which I was going to get.

It is.

That's just gonna encourage people to get the digital versions of some games.

First, I don't like the idea of these game key cards essentially being a replacement for the poor system of download codes we had previously, but at the very least, It's aesthetically more pleasing than the former solution and these key cards are also sharable to other users just like ordinary cartridges from what I understood.

Download codes were a one time use.

Anyway ... How the F*** did an HD up res of Bravely Default managed to end up around 11GB ?!

No wonder the game's only priced at 40$ by using it. Though I have an odd feeling that Square Enix will always use those going forward 🙃

Switch Friend Code : 3905-6122-2909

No hint of 3D Mario at that Direct, but I guess it makes sense since it would've overshadowed the Donkey Kong game. I can't believe Odyssey is almost 8 years old, this is the longest wait ever for a 3D Mario.

I have a bad feeling some stuff is getting cut or changed.

One thing got confirmed - the QoL option that let you play the game without any encounters that was on the 3DS version is not in the Switch 2 version anymore...I'm just gonna wait for to see if it comes out on PC or wait for a 50% discount.

$40 is what I paid for the 3DS version lol.

Do we need to play a broken record here?

It's been stated multiple times already, but the only thing these are replacing are download codes.
