Legit laughed out loud when I saw my MC getting attacked by wolves in the cutscene during the finale/boss fight.

Those same damn wolves ended up killing me once the cutscene ended which made no sense, peak game design.

Unironically, the best kind of video game-y ending you could wish for what is considered a gut punch in emotional terms 😅

I mean, this is great. But after the launch failure that was the GTA Trilogy Remaster, I can't avoid feeling uneasy about this.

Most of the GTA Trilogy's problems came from the fact it was a (botched) remake, whereas this seems to be a PS360 port similar to LA Noire, which turned out fine.

So I officially finished all the main routes in Pokemon Sword's Crown Tundra DLC.

Caught all 3 legendary birds.

Gonna do some Dynamax adventures and then the tournament - I'll be done with the game after that.

Finished Master Detective Rain Code ! Didn't expect it to be a meaty journey that would last me 50+ hours when I first started it 😅 But it got me hooked with loads of elements. Narratively and thematically speaking, it reminded a lot of Ace Attorney games so I didn't feel too much whiplash from the experience since I kind of dreaded tackling something kind of related to Danganronpa which had never been my cup of tea.

Now let's see, if it'll have room for a sequel in the future ...

About to finish Kirby Return to Dreamland DX main story too.

Once that's done, I'm going back to Zelda TOTK!

Playthrough wise....the only Nintendo platform game I've played in the last 5 days or so is....

Dragon Quest VIII (3DS) - Finished the Dragon Graveyard side quest story. Grinded through some Metal King Slimes which were nice and easy. I'm at lv 46 average for the party (which I am guessing I've over leveled at this point). Gonna start the next leg of the main journey now. 55 hours in.

Played through more of Turok 2 Remastered a while back. Even bloodier than the original. Some enemies can even be left with holes blown in their torsos. XD

Fascinated to see how Knight runs on Switch; if done right it could be a standout "impossible port" like Witcher 3, Doom Eternal, or Dying Light.

Almost done with Chocolate Island - so got three more areas to do then I will be done with the game.
