Ordered the Mario Galaxy movie on Blu Ray today now it's finally out; wanted to see it in cinemas but was too mentally unwell during the time it was out.

Also grabbed Granblue Fantasy Relink on Switch 2, which is out today. Looking forward to getting stuck into it once I wrap up DMC5.

Nice. I got my 4K Steelbook version of it. It looks like Rosalinas book. Pretty cool.

Awesome; I never got into 4K Blu Ray myself, good ol' 1080p is enough for me. Heck, I even still pick up DVDs now and then.

Looking forward to watching Galaxy itself, I quite enjoyed the 2023 film. Sure, it was as deep as a puddle, but the Nintendo references and visuals made it plenty of fun regardless.

Got around to playing Pikuniku today. Very short but delightful experience! It’s incredible how “Nintendo-y” the game feels for being a 3hr indie project. It was nothing mindblowing, just simple fun.

Tried to get started with Rhythm Heaven Groove once I finished Pikuniku, but I made the mistake of not skipping the calibration prompt upon initial booting… the game has a big issue with audio and input now and I didn’t want to spend the time fixing everything, so that’ll be placed on the backburner for another two or three weeks.

After Rhythm Heaven didn’t work out, I moved on to Yoshi… wow what a weird and creative game that is! My thoughts aren’t fully settled yet though I must say that I haven’t played any game quite like it. Very cool!

I wish Nintendo did their own take on the Evercade consoles and handhelds.

Why not? I think it’d be nice if Nintendo release an updated handheld capable of running DS/3DS games at a budget-friendly entry point… though seeing as this would likely create competition with Switch 2, I see no reality where Nintendo actually makes such a system. Beats needing to pay $350+ for a 3DS.

Completed Pragmata, solid new IP from Capcom who have been on form the past 12 months, DD2DA and Onimusha next.

Not gonna lie, I’m tempted to get a Switch 2 for the rumored Resident Evil 0 and 1 remakes, or re-remake of 1 that reportedly just entered development and RE10 as Veronica stands to be the last Resi game on disc and I don’t feel like shelling out $1000 for a digital-only console to play the upcoming games in my favorite gaming franchise.

There’s also no guarantee they’ll be cross-gen as some of those could be years out. RE1 RE Engine remake if it’s legit won’t be out til at least 2030 since modern Resi games take at least 4 years to finish.

Even if they are GKCs, I want something tangible on my shelf.

Because it would be a fun way to release their classic libraries.
