I don't see much of a difference.

Super Meat Boy 3D is coming to Switch 2

Well, with Winds/Waves now slated for 2027, that leaves Holiday 2026 wide open.

The only two obvious ones I can think of are 3D Mario and Smash Bros.
3D Mario - I mean, that horse has been beaten half to death. We ALL know we're past due for a new entry.
Smash Bros - The game itself came out in Dec 2018, and the last DLC fighter (Sora) was released in Oct 2021. So quite enough time has passed between final development and/or release to where a new Smash Bros. game should be due.

Who all is getting Pokopia? As tempted as I am… my backlog is too large to justify another purchase— I’m hoping to finish up Welcome Tour today, and get started with either Bananza, Prime 4, or Kirby Forgotten Lands.

If Sakurai is the one developing it, that's unlikely since he's been working on Air Riders. Possible that his role was diminished on this one, or someone else is working on it.

I have made a rule that I have to finish two games I already own before I can buy a new one. So many games, so little time.

As a long time RE fan RE9uiem is definitely top 4 in the series, getting an on parity release is a big move by Capcom and the are signs that it's paying off, I'm sure that an Onimusha announcement may be tied to how well RE9 and Pragmata does and it seems things are off to a promising start.

Who's a character that everyone wants cut from the next Smash Bros and why?

Probably a few of the 37 Fire Emblem characters...

I can do without Chrom and Lucina because of how generic they are.

I'd cut Dr. Mario and make him just an alt costume for Mario.
