At the risk of offending folks... I think Skyward Sword is better than Ocarina of Time.

Kidding, different strokes of different folks. I do think Skyward Sword is a great game, Ocarina is just one of the greatest of all time in my book.

It was better on the Switch, because that version allowed for a better control scheme.

My most recent playthrough was on Switch and N64 (via Nintendo 64 app on Switch).

Didn't mind the motion controls now, and don't remember having any issues on Wii either. They add a very much needed layer of depth to the combat which in OOT was a bit basic. Revolutionary in the mid 90s, but basic by today's standards.

I wanted to play on the Switch app cause I have an N64 controller. I have played the 3DS version, but I don't remember the changes to have been that excessive. The inventory management was a bit better especially since you could map the boots to buttons. And there was a hint system I think.

Next time I play through it, which probably won't be for a few years cause I'll probably replay other Zelda games first, I'll probably do the Master Quest version on 3DS. Maybe it will change my mind.

My Wii version experience was atrocious as far as Fi's annoyance of telling me to take break and telling me to change my batteries.

But what made me mad was how awful the motion plus was , had to re-calibrate every couple of hours.

Aside from that SS was a pretty good game, was in my top 5 until recently.

My top 5 right now....

1. Breath of the Wild (WiiU)
2. Twilight Princess (GCN)
3. Ocarina of Time (3DS)
4. Majora's Mask (3DS)
5. Link to the Past (SNES, GBA)

(If I didnt play OoT3D and MM3D , then Link's Awakening would have been #4 and SS would have been #5)

Planning to play SS on Switch eventually alongside BotW, ToTK, Link's Awakening remake and Echoes all which I have.

Gotta be honest, I don't feel like once every two hours is a big deal. And I don't recall her telling you to take a break more than like once an hour or so, which again didn't bother me much. Seems like if you're playing in shorter sessions with charged batteries the problems mostly go away.

The only ones I've played within the last 5 or 6 years are BOTW, TOTK, SSword, OOT, and Link Between Worlds. Of those, I think my rankings would be

1. BOTW

2. TOTK

3. Link Between Worlds

4. Skyward Sword

5. Ocarina of Time

On the topic of controversial opinions… I can’t say that DKBananza has really “blown me away.” IDK. The game gives me a headache and triggers sensory overload issues, so I’m constantly in an overwhelming state of fight-or-flight. I really love DKCReturn & Tropical Freeze, but Bananza just isn’t doing it for me. :/ Maybe once I get a little deeper into the game, I’ll become more comfortable and accustomed to everything (or maybe once I get started with CBT therapy lol b/c I did just get started with somebody).

It also took me a while to get into DK Bananza. I think you can see my posts on the matter a few pages back. I got to really liking it by the end though so hopefully you will too.

And congrats on starting CBT! It's kind of hard sometimes because it is largely about doubting thoughts that come from your own brain, but it has finally starting sinking in for me. Like with DK Bananza, I suggest giving it some time to start working for you.

I really didn't like the button control scheme on the Switch version. It was useful since sometimes I was playing on the train and wanted to push through some of the less interesting parts, but I much preferred motion controls.

The Sole reason why I never bought SS on Switch is because I cannot play the game on hard mode right from the beginning. Having to beat the game to unlock the hard mode is really stupid. When I bought Link Between Worlds I asked my cousin to finish the game for me on normal mode so I could play it on hard right from the beginning.

Why would you having bad taste offend me?
If I was offended every time I heard a bad take, I'd be a very miserable man.

Hollow Knight Silksong,  (Switch 1 & 2) Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree, (Switch 1) and Star Wars Outlaws (Switch 2) are out today

Looking forward to Silksong. Waiting for the physical though.

The Brazilian eShop sometimes bizarrely and stupidly miss on some game releases, but really? No Silksong?

Edit: ok it's finally live. Did the game really not have an eShop page at all until the release?
